Excellent value for money duvet

I crossed Europe walking 10,000 miles for a year with this 0° down from Forclaz. Frankly, excellent value for money, good durability, it handled humidity quite well (while feather duvets are more sensitive to it than synthetic duvets) in short, I'm satisfied with it.

used 4 nights and already out of order..

I used this sleeping bag for 4 nights last summer in the Alps. At first really satisfied with the value for money. This weekend during my first spring bivouac in the Cévennes I noticed that feathers were escaping from the sleeping bag. When I got home I noticed that a seam at the feet had simply failed and the down was losing its feathers. unusable now because the insulation is no longer there... down is very expensive as a result. I have been a loyal customer for several years but I am extremely disappointed with this product. I also remind you that your products are used in sometimes difficult conditions and that offering products with such defects could put your customers in danger. Yours truly.

warm and compact

used for mountain hiking in April (around 0°): it is perfect

A great and comfortable sleeping bag, at the best price on the market. I'm buying a girlfriend again.

Perfect !

Tested at 0° and it was even too hot! So it really does the job, I complete it with a sackcloth to avoid damaging it and it's perfect. You can sometimes feel cramped but it's a duvet so nothing shocking. In summary, comfortable, very warm, rather light given its characteristics and compact. So perfect.

Embarrassing impressions

The sleeping bag is collapsible, but I tested the temperature comfort at the freezing point immediately after purchase and I regretted it... I think the real comfort is 5+. I bought a sleeping bag of this shape for the first time and I won't do it again - but that's subjective...

very useful to be able to choose the size, it's always a little less weight.

Super nickel

This is the 2nd one I've taken, always just as good

Very bad

I have tested this sleeping bag at every temperature and I camp several days a week all year round and I have several sleeping bags in my possession and I can tell you that this sleeping bag is really poor quality. I was only comfortable in the sleeping bag when it was 10/12 degrees and then I still had a base layer of pants and shirt. With zero degrees, I can promise you that you will be very cold in this sleeping bag. The quality seems more like 600cuin to me and the heat rating does not seem correct to me. I do not recommend this product.

A little expensive

excellent used when…

excellent used during a bivouac with not great weather very humid not had the opportunity to test at 0°

Not suitable for 0 degrees

I would strongly advise against relying on a sleeping bag when temperatures are around freezing point. There can no longer be any question of comfort.

Down MT 900 0 degrees

Use the sleeping bag while sailing. Despite the cool temperature, I stayed warm every night. Dries very quickly. The closure tends to get stuck easily with the fabric of the sleeping bag. I highly recommend this product !

What is the temperature rating?

We display the comfort temperatures on all our sleeping bags, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in compliance with European standard ISO 23537-1:2022. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this criterion.

What is the temperature rating (lower limit at which you feel comfortable)?

The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in the sleeping bag is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (determined for a man in normal conditions of use).We recommend using an insulation mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

An important clarification concerning the iso 23537-1 standard

In the context of this standard, the measurement protocol of a sleeping bag’s thermal protection uses a mattress with thermal resistance equal to an R-value of 4.8.This means that by using a less insulating mattress, the thermal performance of your sleeping bag will be lower. We therefore recommend you use an insulating mattress to optimise your thermal comfort.

Some advice to consider before you get into your bag

Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm-up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand/feet warmers, rubdowns, etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there's no chance of it accidentally opening!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but do it without moving as this could create a draught. Use a bag liner to optimise warmth and avoid washing your sleeping bag too frequently.

The mummy shape optimises thermal insulation (no loss of heat because there is not much air flow or draughts) and saves space, which means that your movements are restricted.Width at the shoulders 72 cm, height at the feet 26 cm in size L.

Anatomical hood with good coverage and drawstring adjustment.A baffle along the zip prevents heat loss.Double-slider zips for optimal ventilation.Brick baffle construction to reduce thermal bridges.

The advantages of a duck down and feather filling

The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports:- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible

How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?

The fill power is a measure of the down fts thermal insulation capacity and its potential to Inchtrap Inch air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this sleeping bag with its 90% down / 10% feathers filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (international IDFB standard).

Storage instructions

To maintain its fill power, which is necessary for its insulation properties, store your sleeping bag by stuffing it in the mesh bag provided, feet first. Can be stored flat.
