Product Customer Reviews

These are great winter gloves. Warm as winter gloves should be, and seem like they will last as long or longer than more expensive brands on the market that aren't really any better than these.
Considering the price and the design and the temperature that they have been advertised for I am quite happy.
Hello Bijan,
Thank you for reviewing those gloves. We are delighted to hear that your are satisfied with them.
We hope to see you again soon.

Not as warm at the tips as I’d like. If moving there’s enough insulation but not if you’re not warm first. Could use one thin layer of fleece inside to do that.

I am using these gloves to ride horses with. They are fairly warm and have a good grip.
The pull-on straps are awesome and double well as a hang-up strap. Very comfortable gloves. Very well-made
I bought these gloves and I am very happy with them. They fit perfectly and are windproof and comfortable.
Great gloves , great value
The large sizes FIT large hands!
Good value or money
I bought these gloves after I lost one from my previous pair, the Trek 500. The 900 are a lot warmer than the 500 for sure, I've tried both pairs during winter hikes in snow and with the 900 my hands were never cold, at all. Even when grabbing some icy railings during a scramble. They are also windproof, which the 500 are not. The con is that with the 900 it is significantly harder to use your phone or zippers, which is understandable as they have a lot more insulation. I would recommend the 900 if you are planning on going on hikes in snowy, windy and cold conditions. For light city use they are a tad overkill unless temperatures are around -10. I recommend the 500 for city use, they are good enough up until -5 provided there is no significant wind.
I actually bought these for paragliding as they fit well and have a good feel. Today I wore them ski touring, it was well below zero with significant wind chill. Thought I'd brought the wrong gloves but these were amazing. Hands were warm and dry all day with enough feel to attend to bindings and skins without removing them.
Warm and comfortable.
Really good quality gloves with good heat retention with little bulk.A few nice touches with the elastic loop that allows you to take off but not lose and the pull loop allows ease access.Size is true.I use them as a winter cycling glove and can’t fault them.I bought another pair as soon as I got the first in case they discontinued
Gloves have wrist bands, and are very warm. It is possible to operated a mobile phone whilst wearing.
Gloves lovely and comfortable. Got very wet when it rained. Thought they were waterproof but that may have been my fault for not looking properly .Would recommend them as long as you don't want waterproof ones

What environmental improvements have been made to these gloves?
As the Trek 900 gloves are so popular, we decided to work on improving their environmental impact as a priority. Starting winter 2020, the inner lining of the glove is dyed using a clean process called dope dyeing (the threads are dyed in bulk), which reduces CO2 emissions by 12% compared to the old glove. You will find more information at the following link:
When hiking or bivouacking, the preformed structure of these gloves makes it easier to grip poles and handle equipment. The suedette palm and the glove structure are designed to reduce abrasion around the thumb and index finger, areas that are regularly exposed to rubbing and handling.
Glove durability
Ease of use of the glove
A well-equipped glove: - simply pull the wrist strap with the opposite hand for effective adjustment, - strap on the middle finger makes it easy to take them off and to attach to a snap hook to dry them, - removable leash can be adjusted with one hand so you can remove your gloves without losing them, - pairing buckle to link your gloves together in transit or storage
What is the dexterity of a glove?
The dexterity of a glove is its ability to handle objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The closer the glove's dexterity is to 5, the more the glove can handle objects in the same way as the bare hand. In particular, we tested how easy it is to get a jacket on and open it with gloves. The dexterity of these gloves is rated 2 out of 5.
What does a windproof glove provide?
Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? With an outdoor temperature of 32°F and a 12 mph wind, the perceived temperature will be 14°F. The windproof components reduce the wind-chill resulting from the cooling effect of the wind or apparent wind generated by the sporting activity.
How is usage temperature measured?
All our gloves are laboratory-tested on a thermal hand. The minimum temperatures for use (recommended and limit) are the result of a study carried out with a test panel of 23 hikers exposed to temperatures ranging from 41°F to -4°F and 6 mph winds. These temperatures are only valid in walking conditions. The windproof Trek 900 gloves are given a warmth rating of 2 out of 5. Recommended temperature: 25°F Limit temperature: 14°F
How to properly protect your hands from the cold
By applying the layering principle, you can optimize the insulation of your hands. Consequently, by wearing liner gloves in addition to gloves, you create several air gaps around your hands, which provide effective insulation from the cold. For this to work properly, your gloves must be big enough not to compress your fingers and allow a good blood flow.
How to keep your hands warm with the right clothing
When active, the body generates heat, which the thermal insulation of your clothing helps to preserve. If the clothing is inadequate, your body cools and the blood flow to the hands and feet drops in order to keep your upper body warm. Your clothing can therefore play a role in keeping your hands warm.
Got your liner gloves caught in the rain?
If this happens, then dry them in a dry place, but avoid placing them on a heat source. This could damage the fiber and they could lose their shape!
