It canoe 't good

It works great. Dismantling it is a bit difficult. Especially since you pack it in your backpack.

Excellent product but...

In full use at the moment, we have practiced on sea or lake, fairly stable boat, good glide. Very easy to inflate and take with you. On the other hand, a big downside is the fins that slide under the kayak. Indeed, first use at sea, no problem fixing them but impossible to remove due to the tiny grains of sand which are inserted under the fins. I finally managed to remove them but what a hassle. Other than that, we are delighted with the product. Nb: decathlon has done well to review the seats of inflatable kayaks, these are much better adapted, rigid and easy to install or remove. I recommend this article

Pricing policy?

The only regret is that the price on the Site is cheaper than in store, the products were about to be taken off the shelves to make way for the ski season. I paid full price, too bad a product which was going to spend the autumn winter season in the depot

Very nice but some flaws

Very nice, as easy as it can be to assemble and disassemble. On the other hand, the bottom overlay is already starting to come off at the ends after 2 uses. to see if it gets worse over time... THE fact that I recommend this product and to take into consideration what is mentioned above. and see what Decathlon offers.

Bought new, actually refurbished

I BOUGHT THIS KAYAK 3 YEARS AGO, ACTUALLY USED IT FOR ABOUT 22 DAYS, UNFORTUNATELY THE BOTTOM HAS STARTED TO LEAK. WHEN INSPECTING IT IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHERE IT WAS LEAKING FROM, TO MY GREAT SURPRISE I FOUND THAT THE LEAKS (BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE) RESULTED FROM REPAIRS CARRIED OUT (PATCHES) WHICH HAVE STARTED TO FAIL. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A PRODUCT I PURCHASED NEW HAD 3 PATCHES? NOT CORRECT BY THOSE WHO SOLD THE PRODUCT AS NEW!

Very enjoyable, fast

After receiving the product, I returned it due to the stroke problem and they gave me a new one. The ones you replaced also come down, but it takes a very long time (>1 Month). It is very enjoyable to use, it glides on the water, the sea in Mersin is very windy in the afternoon, even in this weather, we traveled as two people against the wind at a very good speed. Its balance is not bad, but it turns very easily when two people row with different strengths. I recommend that the stronger person sit in the back. I recommend that you rinse it with fresh water after use, it dries very quickly. The result is a beautiful product.

Absolutely abnormal!!! Leak…

Absolutely abnormal!!! Leaked on first use. With the holidays, it is not possible to return to the store before the maximum deadline for taking out insurance (which I had wanted to take out but which was not taken into account during checkout - quite disturbed since I was given two male oars...). Assessment, obligation to repair yourself or send to the regional workshop (2 months delay). I try to repair it but obviously it doesn't work since it's a leak on a seam/gluing. What to do now ? To flow ?...

Very good but needs some improvements

Very practical. It serves as a tender for my sailboat. I don't use the seats, it's easy to go up to 4 in it. Inflated, I carry it on my shoulder without getting tired or hurting my back for 1km (unless it is very windy) The water drainage holes allow me to pass a chain as an anti-theft device. Improvements: - After 1 year, the gray straps which serve as handles in particular tear like paper with UV rays or salt. (my kayak is still inflated but protected by an awning). This is also a problem with other Decathlon products such as waterproof bags. -it lacks an ad hoc anchor point for a tow line/mooring line. -It is very difficult to open the middle caps when the kayak is inflated

Good but could not do better

The initial idea, integrating a rigid inflatable bottom, is excellent but we should have taken the opportunity to work on the hull profile a little. This flat bottom drags a lot of water, the speed suffers and the anti-drift fins that are too small are ineffective, especially since the front wing that is too far forward is partially out of the water. As a result, from the slightest breath of wind, the kayak is no longer directional. I would like to point out that I only used it on lakes without choppy water. The second negative point concerns the evacuation of on-board water. Side bilge holes are ineffective, at least in fresh water, and could usefully be removed which would simplify manufacturing and reduce drag. For other aspects, ease of implementation and maintenance, it's perfect. A tube loses a little air (repressurization every two days) but I haven't found the leak... I've been kayaking for a long time but the rigid ones have become too heavy to install on the roof of the car, too the pneumatic tire has become essential for its easy transport…

Practical, solid, we have…

Practical, solid, we were able to take the dog and the children. Handy and safe. Perfect for hiking.

PUMP NOT INCLUDEDFor use with an Itiwit double-action hand pump with adapters

Inflation tips and floor positioning

Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the floor to 5 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on.Put the floor inside the kayak and strap it at the ends. The floor valve must be aligned with the side tube valves located at the back of the kayak. The floor's position must allow free access to the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak.

Side tube and seat inflation tips

Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the side tubes to 3 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on. Each side tube has a pressure relief valve. Its purpose is to evacuate excess air resulting from overinflation. When this happens, you may notice a hissing sound. This hissing sound is normal, it can also occur during prolonged exposure to the sun. It will stop once the kayak reaches the correct internal pressure.

Seat comfort and positioning.

The seats are high, providing increased comfort for adults in the paddling position.Position the seats on the floor using the velcro areas located under the seat and on the floor.Stow any bags or equipment into the kayak's rear hatch or attach to the rear deck. The boat is ready to be launched.

Glide performance

Thanks to the rigidity of the dropstitch floor. ”Dropstitch” is a material. 2 layers of PVC are connected by thousands of polyester strands. When inflated to high pressure, these threads tighten and create a rigid volume, which prevents the kayak from loosing its shape.Which is what makes our inflatable kayak extremely rigid but easy to stow in a wheeled bag once deflated.

Care instructions

Remove the seats and slightly deflate the floor to make it easier to rinse out.Rinse the kayak, bottom, and seats with clean water after each use to avoid damage from sand, salt water, and sun.Open the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak and at the rear. Tip the kayak to empty out the water.

Disassembly and folding

Make sure that the surface you intend to fold the kayak on is clean. Remove the fins.Deflate the side bladders. The valves are located at the back of the kayak. PLEASE NOTE: Do not unscrew the pressure relief valves at the front.Fold the floor.Fold the rest of the kayak in half lengthwise. Flatten the front fin base.Lay the rolled floor on the front end. Roll the kayak to the rear end.Strap the kayak.

Storage

Once dry and clean, the kayak should be stored in a dry and shady place, protected from significant temperature changes. The kayak can be stored folded, but if you have enough space, storing it flat and slightly inflated will extend its life.
