I bought this wetsuit for kayaking and swimming in the fall and spring and am very happy with it. The quality appears good, it fits well, and is comfortable.

Size XL is a correct snug fit. I am 178cm tall, 82kg and Size 34 Jeans. I think I'm about maximum height for this size.

For the price, this wet suit is well worth the money. I have worn it a number of times and it is easy to use.
I did buy a Large but it is not as "Large" as it should.. I am pretty average but I could not suit it up.

Our sizing system can be tricky and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it caused. We are still working on adapting our European sizing system to the Canadian market, which implies that the sizes you see are one to two sizes smaller than the regular Canadian sizing.

excellent quality but make sure to size up 1 or 2 sizes. Im 5'7 and 170lbs and normally take size M but for this i needed XL. the fit was still quite snug but movement was not restricted and tolerable.
I measured my chest and hip which came up as large. Other comments suggested the sizes are smaller than expected so went for next size up XL. On receiving the garment, it was still too small and unable to zip up. This is the third garment I have had from Decathlon that has been too small so looks like a general size correction is needed.
My personal size is on outside edge size M, so i selected L and it sits well, just movement for swimming is a bit limited

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)
The 1st selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 63°F and 72°F. Cold water between 53°F and 62°F. Very cold water between 45°F and 54°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models, and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models.Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models.NOTE: The 900 models are easier to put on.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight; this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation, and thermal comfort will be reduced (letting in water).

Materials
This OLAIAN 100 shorty is made from neoprene for improved comfort during use.The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for increased resistance to wear.Neoprene thickness: 1.5 mm.The neoprene is made from an elastomer foam with insulating properties.We test and guarantee the quality of our neoprene materials.
Collar
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.
Fastening
Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Anti-chafing design
We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.
