broke immediately

Unfortunately, the material will probably break on normal clothing. My mattress was leaking after just 1 hour

Excellent price quality I…

Excellent price quality I recommend supplementing it with a foam mattress but under a trek 900 tent it's perfect

Very comfortable, very practical…

Very comfortable, very practical but deflates by itself. Don't last the night. My old mattress was far from comfortable, less practical to transport but did the job. Very disappointed, especially given the price.

Price performance top

Well insulated (test at approx. 5⁰c), not frozen from below. Relatively light for the ISO class, and the pump bag is a clear advantage.

Gift for my brother, he is super happy with it!

MT 500 mattress

The most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on, not too thick, not thin, perfect thickness, I bought the same one for my wife, light, takes up little space and a very nice solution with pumping. The silicone stars work, the sleeping bag does not slip. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Optimal

Excellent mattress, in size XL it is really large. For someone like me who is 180cm tall, the L size leaves very little room to move while the XL size is very comfortable. It must be said that 2 XL size mattresses, I don't know if they fit in the decathlon tents. Or rather they enter and occupy all the living space of the tent. For the rest it is quite comfortable and rather insulating. Definitely not for winter but for mid-seasons it seems excellent to me. The portability and weight are quite practical

Ideal for trekking

Easy to inflate mattress with its bag and double valve system. Does not deflate overnight. Protects well from humidity. Not easy, however, to put back in your bag

Light, comfortable and above all insulating! Test in freezing and humid conditions. Really great

Quality

I bought it to go hiking, on the second day the cover broke, so the size of the backpack exceeded what was provided. The inflation system through the cover seems surreal to me.

Questionable durability and/or manufacturing

Bought to replace the previous model that I had for 5 or 6 years (sold under the Quechua brand at the time); the inflation valve on my old mattress was no longer waterproof. My first impressions were mixed: . the 2 separate valves for inflation and deflation make storage much simpler (facilitates air evacuation). on the other hand, the volume of the folded mattress is a disappointment compared to the model it replaces. The main problem is durability/manufacturing quality: after only ten nights of use, the welding around the edge of the mattress gave way on around twenty of millimeters. I tried to repair it with cyanoacrylate glue, but without success. After a few days, I found a replacement mattress at a sports store. This one was even more expensive than the Forclaz model, but it seems better made; I hope it will be much more durable. Note on the transport bag: I imagine the ridiculousness of the "corporate" meeting during which the marking on the transport bag was validated. No one dared to tell the product manager that marking the width 1'12" is stupid!

Airless

One would think that the air mattress in the price range brings a certain quality with it. Wrong, she's losing a lot of air. I had bought two of the mattresses, inflated one as a test and put it in the corner, it lost air the first night. Exchanged and camped in good spirits, the first night ended with a lot of lack of air. Both mattresses had to be inflated several times during the night. After testing, it turned out that the air was escaping at the inlet/outlet. It's a shame, my daughter is through with camping now, doesn't feel like it anymore! Thanks for that. Does Decathlon not carry out any quality control of the items sold?

Great to use

Great product? Very comfortable. Does not slip on the tent floor and has a really good heat output. The pump sack integrated into the pannier is particularly pleasing, which makes it easy to handle. Everyone knows that when there is a lot of wind, such parts can quickly become lost. This solution minimizes this risk. I had a Mate from Exped, which cost a lot more. Since the Pumsack was separate - not so great. I like the mat and it gives me a sense of security. Brilliant and just good for this price.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 50.0% Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester

Volume and folded size

Folded dimensions Ø 5.5” x 11.8”. Volume: 4.6 liters.

How to inflate your mattress

To prevent moisture from being blown into the mattress, we recommend that you use the pump bag in the pouch. To do this, unroll the entire pump bag/pouch. Connect the valve of the pump bag to the “in” valve of your mattress. Blow to about 4”-8” from the inlet of the pump bag, to inflate the main volume as much as possible. Roll the bag on itself to the valve to push the air out of the main bag into your mattress.

What is the r-value?

The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use 2 mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.

What r-value for what use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-fall)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north, and high altitudes)

Tips for sleeping well on your mattress

Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the in valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

Additional sustainable development information

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only mass pigmentation on 1 yarn out of every 2 for the gray fabric on the back of the mattress, thus reducing our consumption and our impact on water. In addition, 70% of the fill used as insulation is recycled polyester. These actions allow us to reduce CO2 emissions by 12%.

How to repair a leaky mattress

An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof but it can be repaired! When using it, take every care when installing and handling it. In the event of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8584596).For more information, copy the following link into your browser:https://www.forclaz.co.uk

Storage instructions

In order to improve the durability and reliability of your product, store it laid out flat with the valve open in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.
