Weird use of packaging

I was very annoyed by the inflatable cover on the mat. First, the package had to be inflated to a certain volume, and only then did the air go into the mat. This was already making my head spin. To fold the mat, a lot of force must be used to squeeze it so that the mat can even fit into the very narrow packaging. Fine sand got into the OUT lid and the mat deflated slowly during the night.

Small and light after folding

Small size, suitable for carrying when mountaineering. Strong thermal insulation. Blowing through your mouth is a little more troublesome.

I used it with…

I used it with a foam mattress underneath. It hasn't moved all week, I don't even need to re-inflate it.

not yet tested in…

not yet tested in hiking/bivouac/bushcraft (but used in the garden), well!! pretty good, comfortable, insulating, I used it with the foam accordion mattress, the use of both mattresses will, I think, be quite interesting in extreme conditions, and the icing on the cake!!! it remains swollen

Well insulating mattress but noisy

Used for 12 days during the GR20 and 6 days on the TMB, this mattress accomplished its mission of thermal insulation of the ground. The inflation principle is really a plus. However, I didn't manage to have a single restful night despite the fatigue. It's not comfortable and is noisy for someone who moves around a lot like me. I think it can also be more compact.

An insulating and easy-to-use mattress

First test of this inflatable mattress for a night where the temperature dropped to -4°C: an insulating and easy-to-use mattress which was able to provide me with the necessary comfort during a first bivouac, in the cool

Very good product. But…

Very good product. But it still takes up a lot of space when folded

An easily portable air mattress

I bought it before my last walk because it is small and light when folded. I thought it would be enough if he cut my contact with the ground a little. But it is more comfortable than I ever expected. It officially shows normal air mattress performance. It easily inflates in about 30-40 seconds by blowing into the case. It is not tiring at all to deflate it and place it in its case. The size is perfect for me (I'm 170 cm tall). I've slept with and without my overalls, it doesn't slip.

Good but little choice in store. Model + size

It works as expected

I slept on it 2 times. It is quite comfortable to sleep on. (Do not overblow, it must remain soft). I can't judge the insulation against the cold, it was at least 10 degrees outside. So she insulated perfectly.

Bravo for the designer…

Bravo to the designer who found the inflation system. I slept very well.

Mattress not fully satisfied

Very practical to inflate, it keeps you properly insulated from the floor, when inflated it is too narrow at the sides, you get too easily unbalanced on one side and the other

He does what is asked of him, nothing more

Positive points: - For an insulating inflatable mattress, it does not take up much space (practical in cycle tourism). - Used only this summer for the moment, you immediately feel that it insulates well and keeps you warm, without being uncomfortable. - the pump bag with the Venturi effect are great - Not ugly at all this orange! Points to improve: - the rectangular shape is a bit awkward in some 2P trekking tents when there are 2 mattresses (it overlaps the other); the sarcophagus shape (as for its non-insulating version) would have been more suitable - at the beginning, it is a bit complicated to understand how to take out the mattress and inflate it; with experience it passes - despite the sausages and patches, I still slip into my Forclaz sleeping bag :/

Very easy to transport…

Very easy to transport, to inflate. A bit limited for sleeping comfort.

good mattress

If it could be lighter it would be perfect! But honestly its weight can be understood by its characteristics, insulation from the cold and sleeping comfort, nothing to complain about.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 50.0% Polyurethane, 50.0% Polyester

Volume and folded size

Folded dimensions Ø 4.7” x 11.8”. Volume: 3.4 liters.

How to inflate your mattress

To prevent moisture from being blown into the mattress, we recommend that you use the pump bag in the pouch. To do this, unroll the entire pump bag/pouch. Connect the valve of the pump bag to the “in” valve of your mattress. Blow to about 4”-8” from the inlet of the pump bag, to inflate the main volume as much as possible. Roll the bag on itself to the valve to push the air out of the main bag into your mattress.

What is the r-value?

The R-Value is a measure of the thermal insulation. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the insulation of the mattress. Please note that the R-Values can be added; this means that you can use 2 mattresses and add their R-Values.All our mattresses are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.

What r-value for what use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) onlyR-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3-season (spring-summer-fall)R-value from 3 to 4: 4-seasonR-value of 4.5 and higher: Use in all 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north, and high altitudes)

Tips for sleeping well on your mattress

Once you are lying down, remember to adjust the inflation pressure of the mattress by slightly pressing the in valve (open cap). A mattress that is too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the sliding of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

Additional sustainable development information

Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this impact on the environment, we use only mass pigmentation on 1 yarn out of every 2 for the gray fabric on the back of the mattress, thus reducing our consumption and our impact on water. In addition, 70% of the fill used as insulation is recycled polyester. These actions allow us to reduce CO2 emissions by 12%.

How to repair a leaky mattress

An inflatable mattress is not puncture-proof but it can be repaired! In use, as much care as possible should be paid to its set-up and handling. In the case of a problem, we recommend you use adhesive repair patches (ref: 8584596).For more information, copy the following link into your search engine:https://www.forclaz.co.uk
