But where is the women's fit version???

Warm and very reflective, exactly what I was looking for. When I'm driving I find a jecket that follows and outlines the limb movement of the cyclist much better for awareness raising and judging distance than an overall reflective jacket like the 360 type which I find dazzling and somewhat distracting. I wanted a similar jacket for myself, this fits the bill very well. BUT where is the women's fit version??

Rc500 yellow neon Jacket

Very good jacket. Have been using on my daily commute and also on a couple of 60mike rides. Been using in temperatures between +5 to 12 degrees wearing just bibs and short jersey underneath. Never got too hot or cold. Comes with a matching neck snood. The material is not waterproof but I have worn it in all types of rain it keeps you warm still. Only really letting water in under a torrent of rain. Fit wise its a normal large size and is not a race fit. There are lots of pockets and two good zip vents in the front.

Highly reflective

I bought this jacket to make sure I’m seen and it certainly does the job with highly reflective strips that can be seen at night and also during the day. It’s a good fit and waterproof and good size back pockets. It’s not the lightest of jackets around but if you want value for money and fee safer then give it a try.

Excellent warmth, fit and visibility for the money

I've had this jacket for 3-4 weeks now and am happy to report it has done the job in British October/November weather around 4-10°C. Combined with the 900/920 baselayer it's happy around 8-10°, and I've been adding a string vest type base under this for even more warmth on colder days. Water repellency seems reasonable, vents are great for climbs and overall I don't find I'm drowning in this even when hitting max efforts in the cold. Pockets are well spaced and numerous, I particularly like the double back pocket, large rear zip pocket and chest pocket which is often missing on cycling jackets. I can also fit my 500 long sleeve Jersey under this, but haven't ridden with both yet: with a base layer I imagine 0°C will be cosy. Decent double cuffs for slotting gloves into and the reflective patches are exactly what you'd hope for. Neck warmer is nice and soft, although I've removed mine for full balaclava option. Washed the garment maybe 8 times and it hasn't faded or changed shape noticeably, all types of road dirt have come out immediately. I usually wear XL in decathlon cycling garb, but went with an L and it's snug but not too tight. Almost race Fitz although this isn't strictly as fitted or breathable as the 900 range I can't fault it, especially for the visibility.

The en1150 visibility standard

The effectiveness of this jacket's visibility has been certified by an external Finnish laboratory according to the very demanding EN1150 standard. It guarantees excellent visible during the day (thanks to the neon yellow) and at night (very powerful reflective patches). The standard also requires 360° visibility. You will therefore always be visible to drivers in any conditions.

The purpose of a cycling jacket

The third layer is the layer that protects you from the elements, for instance the cold and the wind, while the underneath layers offer warmth and breathability. By wearing a suitable cycling jacket, you will maintain your performance and comfort, whatever the weather. This RC500 cycling jacket keeps you nice and warm with its integrated, removable neck gaiter. The adjustable vents let perspiration escape

A product's ability to protect from the cold. It depends on the material's thermal resistance and how much air can pass through it. The higher its thermal resistance, the more the product retains the heat produced by the body while cycling.

To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower its resistance, the more it lets water vapor produced by the body escape, therefore the more breathable it is. • RET <6: Extremely breathable, suitable for most intense workouts • RET 6 to 12: Very breathable, designed for moderate exercise • RET 12 to 20: Moderately breathable, not enough for exercise • RET >20: Little breathability, unsuitable for exercise

Care tips

Machine wash at 86°F. Synthetics cycle. Turn the article inside out. Use a minimal amount of laundry detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Line-dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.

What is a "softshell"?

A "softshell" is a garment that is windproof and often stretchy to allow very good freedom of movement. A softshell is water-repellent (protection from drizzle or splashes from the road), but isn't waterproof like a "hardshell". On the other hand, the membrane provides good breathability (ability to let water vapor generated by the body during exercise escape) and is therefore suited to sports activities.

Product testing

Our team of designers and cycling enthusiasts is based in Lille, in northern France, not far from Flanders and its legendary cycling routes. To get this jacket just right, we tested it all over Flanders throughout the winter: we believe that only by subjecting them to real world conditions, like the ones you experience on your bike, can we continuously improve our products.
