My daughter had this for her 3rd birthday. It was a bit too big for her, so she needed the stabilizers for the first couple of months (avoid if you can!) before starting by herself. She's been cycling solo for nearly two years now, and did the school run on this throughout Reception (2km each way, 4-5 days per week). She'll be five next month, and she's just about outgrown it. It's a heavier bike than more expensive ones, but easy enough to carry with one hand. Everything seems very well made, and we've never had a single issue with it. The bike hasn't required any maintenance at all despite being thrown down in playgrounds etc (the tough chain guard probably helps). The thick wheels are good for going off-road too - made me wish that I had a mountain bike to join her.

Very well built cycle, although did need some slight alterations, from assembled model. All in all very good value for money.
This is a heavy bike for the kids of this age. The seats couldn't be adjusted to proper height , with the tools provided. The support side wheels also became dis-functional as one clip supporting the wheel fell off somewhere. Thinking of retuning it.
Sadly, like most child bikes this is far to heavy. The average 3-4 year old weighs 14-15kg. This is over half that- imagine you trying to learn on a bike half your weight. Really a decent pedal bike needs to weigh less then 4kg. Unfortunately that makes them expensive, since it needs an aluminium frame and equivalently lite child size components. Worth spending 3 times as much and then selling that one second hand.
We have three children and bought this for our youngest, this has been hands down the best first bike we have bought. You definitely get the feeling this was designed as a small bike for small children and not just a big bike made small.
Perfect for starting out, smooth motion and great brakes. Light enough to start peddling but heavy enough to work out the leg muscles and keep stable

Special B'Twin frame.V frame designed for kids aged 3-5 years. It's lowered in the middle to make it easier for kids to get on.
Brakes
The innovative Stop Easy brakes, specially designed for kids' small hands, require 30% less braking effort than traditional levers. Front cantilever brake and rear hub brake for progressive braking
Position
B'Twin handlebar and grips. Comfortable foam saddle.The handlebars have been designed specifically for kids, and the grips are suited to small hands. Plus, it's height adjustable, so it grows with the kid. The saddle's height is also adjustable.

Tires with an inner tube (inflatable) and knobs. B'TWIN has chosen to use real tires to help get around obstacles (curbs, etc.), and for better grip on common terrain (paths, grass, etc.).
