When we put the bike on it the rubber comes off the tyre. And the house smells of burning rubber

Wish it came with more parts to accommodate different types of tires I have to return it and was really looking forward to using it

Returned this item after a couple uses. The resistance levels are negligible especially when rolling. Even with a training tire, the wheel slips with little torque. I was not intending to use this other than basic cardio, but bumping up your cadence even for a light sprint isn’t doable. This would be ok maybe for those who are training an injury recovery, or those who only want very very light cardio.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience with this trainer. There are a number of factors that can contribute to wheel slip on a friction based trainer. This model of trainer is rated to a max of 550 Watts however, large spikes in wattage will cause the wheel to slip as well.
We do also carry two additional models of bike trainers which have higher ratings for max wattage and additional abilities to further control resistance levels which may be a better fit for your use! Great workout
Just purchased and so far so good! I should of read the website first though as it says up-to 28” wheels and I wondered why i couldn’t get my mountain bike to line up!!…….. oh yeah I have 29” wheels!!…… with a bit of adjusting to the height of the roller I managed to get it in place and working with no problems. One downside is it states it compatible with the btwin home trainer connection kit / app which I can’t find in store or on the App Store!

I’m very satisfied with this in fide trainer, well made and very sturdy - I would recommend it without doubt.
The app that is advertised is not available to download as a error message comes up everytime i go to find it

I have email Decathlon customers services to check what the maximum weight of the user is in this trainer as there is no information on the product page on the website. Customer service responded that they do not know, they have email the manufacturer and the manufacturer is not responding. Anyone knows?
Simple to setup and good quality. ..It is compatible with the Zwift app too.
Like many people I bought this trainer to allow me to do some indoor fitness training whilst in lockdown and the weather isn’t so good. On first impressions I’m sure it will do the job well as it’s a solid sturdy piece of equipment. Although the site description and photographs are quite misleading. One of the reasons I bought this particular model is because it clearly states in the description that it can be linked to the B’Twin training app due to its cadence sensors “ CONNECT YOUR IN'RIDE 100 TO OUR B'TWIN TRAINING APP. Thanks to its speed and cadence sensor, you can connect your In'ride 100 home trainer to your tablet or smartphone to make the most of our B'Twin Training app.” Disappointingly this is not that case. There are no cadence sensors, they have to be purchased separately. Having decided now that I’ve got the trainer I might as well buy the B’Twin home trainer connection kit. I then discovered that this isn’t listed on the Decathlon UK site and isn’t available in the UK. This was really disappointing as effectively the trainer is not as advertised. The other negative is one of the images clearly shows the trainer set up with a front wheel riser, again this doesn’t come with the trainer and has to be purchased separately. Again misleading. On a positive note the unit is solidly built and looks like a great piece of equipment. It’s relatively easy to set up once you know what you are doing. It feels good when you are on it and the resistance adjuster is easy to use, Overall a good value trainer but let down by the misleading description and pictures.

Tires
Whether you do road or mountain bike training on the home trainer, we highly recommend using a tire specially designed for use on home trainers.It has the advantage of lasting longer thanks to its reinforced structure and harder rubber that reduces the noise of the wheels spinning.
Stability
When cycling on a home trainer, the rear wheel of your bike is well stabilized and slightly raised.For greater stability, you should also use a front wheel riser block.Doing so will help stabilize your front wheel and raise the front of the bike to keep you in a perfectly aligned position.
Protection
When training indoors, perspiration often drips onto the bike or floor.We recommend using the following equipment: 1. A sweat guard to stop perspiration (acidic) from dripping onto your bike and damaging it (ref. 8056757).2. A home trainer mat to reduce noise and provide stability and added protection against perspiration (ref. 8369937).
