When will it be back in stock? and would this deal still be ther when it is back in stock?

Unfortunatly this is a model we will not carry forward. We may have a similar model RC 100 in stock in your size

By Thierry on Aug 15, 2023 | STAFF

Just want to confirm, when I purchase this bike it actually comes with pedals? I do NOT have to purchase bike pedals separately?

Correct - pedals are included in with our bikes.

By Thierry on Sep 5, 2023 | STAFF

Is the small size ever being restocked?

Unfortunately, not in the near future, But the RC100 is available.

Could I add gravel tiers to this bike? Do you sell them?

This bike is not desgined to offer the clearnace required for gravel tires

By Thierry on Sep 18, 2023 | STAFF

Would I be able to swap the tires on this for some more aggressive tires if I wanted to do some gravel riding?

You can put some wider more agressive tires on this bike, if you have the clearance so it would depend the width of the gravel tire. up to 30mm you should be fine

Several answers refer to this bike(RC120) being discontinued; will there be a new model to replace it?

Not in the short term. We may explore again for US import begining in 2025

Hi, I am right between sizes M and L for the Triban RC120 road bike. I am 5'11" and shorter legs with approximately a 31-32" inseam. What is the standover height for both the M and L frame for the RC120? Thank you

You should opt for the large, though you may not have as much stand over clearance. I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam, and fit the medium perfectly.

By Thierry on Oct 30, 2023 | STAFF

I’m 5’11” with a 32” inseam. I’m fairly proportional in regards to torse, legs, arms, etc. The size guide says I’m right between a M and L. What do you recommend?

Based on your height and inseam, I would definely recomend a large

By Thierry on Nov 24, 2023 | STAFF

I am 6 ft and the guidelines on this website say I should buy an L. However, other Decathlon websites of European countries (France, Italy, Germany) have a slightly different scale and I would be between M and L. What would be your advice? Thanks

Would Suggest a Large - at 5'8'' I am a medium to offer prespective.

By Thierry on Jan 9, 2024 | STAFF

Would you recommend using this bike for a half Ironman?

You certainly could use this bike for 1/2 Ironman, I would add a set of Aero bars and you would be set.

I got this bike back,…

I got this bike back, it's great, however, I have a downside on certain equipment (Ex: chainring) which are in the photo on the online store. When we got it back, the equipment was not the right one... in fact the characteristics of the bike are not the same. Damage.

Great beginner bike

Excellent bike for starting the road I wanted to start road cycling after practicing VTC for 5 years. The bike is very comfortable, I do rides for up to 2 hours without shorts without problem The components are quality, the design is simple and robust The 2x8 transmission is very wide (minimum ratio 1-1), and I have no had no problem with it It's less fluid and faster than a Shimano Sora transmission for example but for the use of this bike that has no importance: the important thing is that it is precise and reliable The bike has been very good prepared by the Decathlon store in Morlaix The improvement I made is to equip it with Triban 700x28 flexible bead tires for greater comfort (I perforated the sidewall of the original tire on a stone) It goes well on the paths, and potentially can accept larger tires I find it very beautiful but the light paint is a little messy The braking is very biting In conclusion it is a very versatile bike which can accompany you on different adventures (outings sports, travel, cycling) Next modification: putting on car pedals, it's a real gain Thanks to Décathlon for offering quality products at the best price

Deplorable transmission, model to avoid

The transmission of the Triban RC120 does not hold up over time and since the overhaul mine has been working even less well than before: friction, jerks, derailments and gear changes at any time... It is not expensive to buy but if you have to buy one every year I don't see the point...

Good product to start with…

Good product to start cycling

Excellent bike - poor preparation

Excellent bike, versatile and pleasant. Beautiful design. Ultra fast delivery in 24 hours. Disappointment in terms of preparation. The gears shift poorly and jump while pedaling. I do not have the knowledge to carry out the adjustment myself nor a nearby store

Excellent geometries, terrible crankset and price

Personally I was influenced by the geometries which are better than the 500 series... but the bike was given to me with the wrong crankset, not Tourney but a generic and very cheap crankset. The bike weighs 11kg therefore it is not very light but remains comfortable and stable.. the fork is declared to be carbon but has changed compared to the past. In short, 2 years ago it cost 400 euros and was fine, today at 549 euros with this weight it seems too much to me.

return after approximately 5500 km

Hello, The bike was perfect for 2 years (around 3000 km) then the parts started to fail one after the other. It started with the front brake which slammed and stopped braking, which I replaced identically (around 50€) Then the same for the rear brake (really 50€). A rear spoke then broke (15€ changed by decath) then the chain broke, I changed it with the cassette (around 40€). the front brake is starting to have the same fault as at the beginning, I have to change it. and finally the bottom bracket "broke" yesterday, there is play in it, impossible for me to repair it independently. In short, it's been a great traveling companion for 3.5 years but I think I'm reaching the limits... I'm going to change bikes because I no longer have confidence in mine (afraid that a part will break at any time)

Value for money ok

good bike, very good…

good bike, very good value for money

Lightness and Fluency Super

The bike is very light. You can even lift it with one hand. It is very enjoyable to drive. The sitting position is comfortable. I recommend it, it has a good flow on the road.
