Awesome product fit well covers all areas good my daughter loves it
Amazing quality for price
I love the products at Decathlon however the sizing is way out. We don't live close to a store so shop online and always upsize but even when I go from medium-sized to large there products are still really small.
Bought for my daughter who is 8yrs. Had to buy size 12yrs though to fit and my daughter is a small size. However, she loved the colour and it. Great price.
Need to return as bought 2 and neither fit my 6 or 4 year old both too small shocked as bought my 6 year old the 7-8
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the size of our swimwear didn't much your expectations. We are working on this task with our brands to improve the sizing communication and to introduce new textiles template for future products. My advice is to always buy 2 sizes bigger for kids than the age size of the product.

You are a beginner surfer
Your daughter is a beginner surfer, practicing in very small waves. She stays in sight, where she can still touch the bottom. She wants to play in the waves and discover new sensations. While learning to surf, she’ll only wipe out in weak waves. These swimsuits are specifically tailored to young surfers, and stay in place as they discover the waves.
Body shape
We designed this Bali 2-piece swimsuit so that all young surfer girls can have fun and discover the waves. The crop top with spaghetti straps stays in place in the waves. The swimsuit can be easily stored in its built-in pouch so that young surfers can take it with them wherever they go.
Girls' swimsuit sizes
At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers by taking into account their growth. It is for this reason that we systematically associate the child's height with the size, as age is not sufficient to guarantee the correct size. 2 10-year-old girls can be of totally different height, weight and shape and have different measurements. We also recommend trying the swimsuits on if possible.

Dry sizing and wet sizing
To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. The swimsuit needs to fit snugly against your body in the fitting room, you should feel supported. The spandex contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
Stays in place in the waves: the test
We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of at least 12 female surfers with different body shapes who will follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.

Is the size or style not suitable for you? Would you like to exchange it at your Decathlon store? No problem, just be sure not to cut off the label of the swimsuit in case you want to exchange it.
Olaian, decathlon's surf brand
Based in Hendaye, in South West France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surfing brand. In our offices at the water's edge, we can design a swimsuit and then on the same day test it directly in the sea to make sure it stays in place in the waves.
What is the olaian brand?
Tribord surfing products have now become OLAIAN products, the new Decathlon brand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding and skimboarding. Gradually, the branding of all our surfing products will be replaced. This is why your product may have a different logo from the one in the picture illustrating the product.
Product testing
this product has been field-tested in Hendaye and has been subjected to numerous laboratory tests to guarantee the quality of use for which it was designed: tests on the elasticity and stability of the fabric, colorfastness during rubbing, washing, exposure to sea water, chlorinated water and light, and overall performance of the product after several washes.
