Flip-flops are the iconic surfer footwear. As well as being the symbol of a surfing lifestyle and sunny spots, they are also the perfect footwear for before and after a session: essential protection for the feet, simple, practical, and easy to take care of. Above all they are easy to slip on and take off, even with wet feet, without needing your hands when carrying your gear.
Design
At OLAIAN, we design our flip-flops with the needs and requirements of surfers in mind, to suit as many people as possible. Product designed by our teams of surfers in Hendaye (France). The Pianola global design center is located on the banks of the Bidassoa River in Hendaye. This allows us to design products in contact with users and in the marine environment.
Usage scenario
We designed these flip-flops for very occasional or seasonal use, for surfers going to spots within short walking distance (less than 2 miles per day), and easy to access: flat ground and paths.
