Have used this twice since purchase the video of how to secure awning section is most definitely not the way it should work,no place to hold awning poles in place so only option is to secure over the top of your van Really not happy

Super easy to use

5 min to put up on my own and 5 min to take down. Solid in the wind and stays cool in hot sun. Unlike poled awnings this doesn’t need two people to put it up.

Bought this to add some space to our campervan its quick to set up easy tomout away and gives a great space for sitting and relaxing

Stays up in the rain!

Newer version purchased, has two horizontal poles to stabilise the roof and has been absolutely fine in wet and windy weather. Gives us loads of extra space with our T5

Inflatable awning

We had a very wet weekend at Cheddar gorge and this awning was fantastic.

It's hopeless... That's being generous!

Despite the reviews, I took the chance and got one of these. Put it up with my 4x2 tent, perfect. First heavy rain, water pooled, not a problem,, knocked it off. Went out for the day, got back after a downpour, the top had collapsed, there was a huge puddle on the top that I had to bail with a bowl before it would reinflate... Then discovered the inside was flooded and everything soaked. It's going right back to decathlon as soon as I get back from this camping trip. Thankfully the kit in the tent stayed dry.... Don't do it.. Great bit of kit let down by a couple of design faults.

Great shelter

Used this for the first time this weekend it was very wet and windy and did not have any problems with water pooling on the roof think you just have to make sure poles are as tight as they are allowed to be a great space to use

Brilliant addition to luxury camping

After reading someones review on a collapsing tent roof in rain, I was rather concerned. DO NOT WORRY. The poles between the 2 ends keep the roof centre nice and firm and even in the pouring rain in August 2021, 3 or 4 days of rain, the tent stood high and totally dry. Well done for an amazing product. It is so easy to erect and my wife and I are looking forward to using it for many years.

3 years on….

We have owned one of these shelters for 3 years now. It has withstood many family holidays and is a stand alone family/kitchen area to our camper van. It has held its own in all weathers- high winds, storms, torrential rain. One person can inflate/deflate in minutes- an amazing piece of kit.

Great addition..

Bought this as an extra room for our campervan. We wanted something quick and easy to put up that was also free standing, this fits the bill perfectly

Not great sadly

This is very flimsy when up sadly. Also it takes very little wind to disturb structure. I would opt for poles in future. Not worth the money.

Collapsed After Overnight Rain

We really wanted to love this tent and indeed we loved the ease of set up, the big openings and the overall space, the window, the ability to strap it to the camper van so it became a drive away. BUT…a shelter, living room, tent or whatever it is known as that collapses in on itself after only steady overnight rain, nothing torrential, is not fit for purpose. The lower backside folded in at the centre point as the roof has absolutely nowhere for rain to drain off. I’m really surprised that Decathlon are still selling this and it wouldn’t surprise me if the design is revised over the winter. If it isn’t then it should be.

Great product easy to erect

Used it for the first time recently and found it very easy to erect, even for a couple of novices like my husband and I. We didn't even argue. Disappointed that we had to buy a pump for it. Our SUP pump didn't fit.

Happy Campers!

Great product and great service - was delivered earlier than expected. Very quick and easy to set up and withstood a windy coastal site!

Roof collapse

Exactly what I need to provide living space when camping with my small teardrop. However I experienced the same problem of roof collapse with rain water gathering on it. Once I got it upright again I had to continually remove water to prevent roof coming in on top of me and my belongings. PLEASE DECATHLON produce a remedy for this as so many customers relate the same problem. I want to keep it but will spend all my time worrying will it rain? I live in Northern Ireland where rainfall is high. HELP!

Living room

Square living room with an area of 67.3 ft² and a maximum height of 88.6". Door height: 68.9" (middle of the door) Removable groundsheet. Turn your Air Seconds Base Connect Fresh into a 2-person tent by adding the Base Connect bedroom (ref.: 8602697)

Pitching and dismantling

All-in-1 inflatable structure with a single inflation point for easy inflation. Once inflated, the structure is free-standing, i.e. you can move it to a different location very easily. The bellows system lets you connect it with your tent or van. 2 poles are provided with the living room so you can lift up the door in courtyard mode. To make it easier, we recommend that 2 people pitch the tent although 1 person is possible.

Sun protection

The Ti0² -coated fabric is SPF 50+. Caution: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin with sunscreen.

2 openings opposite each other in addition to the side door with a mosquito net.

Wind resistance

We test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The goal is to expose each side of our living room to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this living room remains habitable in wind speed 7, measured at 35 mph. Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 PSI).

We test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The 1st test is done in the laboratory, 4 hours under 200 liters of water per hour per m², the equivalent of tropical rain of 200 mm per hour. The 2nd test is done in the field under real conditions by our teams. This living room is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 4.9 oz/m² polyethylene groundsheet.
