Choosing an inner tube
Write down all visible information from the tire sidewall (diameter and width).
For example, 26 x 2.20 means your tire is 26 inches in diameter and 2.20 inches wide/.
You will also find the dimensions in mm in international ETRTO measurements. For example, 50-559 means the tire is 50 mm wide with an inner diameter of 559 mm (approx. 26 x 2.00 inches).
Removing an inner tube
Remove the old inner tube using B'Twin tire levers (ref 8047839).
Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube
Check the condition of your tire and replace it if necessary.
Make sure no objects are lodged in the tire.
Check the condition of your rim strip. Even slightly bent rim strips can cause punctures.
Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.
Installing the inner tube
Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching.
Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rims.
Put the inner tube entirely inside the tire so that it fits inside the rim.
Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.
Mounting the tire
Start by mounting the tire from the opposite side of the valve.
Finish at the top of the valve to avoid pinching.
Never use a screwdriver or tire lever to mount the tire or you could pinch the inner tube and puncture it.
Tip from the pros
To avoid punctures from pinching and for best tire performance, we recommend that you check your tires and inflate them to the suggested pressure before every ride.
Inflating the tire
Inflate your tire carefully, to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tire sidewall in PSI or bars, 1 bar = 14.51 PSI).
Regularly check that the tire in correctly positioned as you inflate it.
To guarantee optimal quality, 100% of our inner tubes are inflated for a period of 8 hours
Membrane/coating : 100.0% Rubber - Synthetic
Take care not to pinch the inner tube when mounting it on.
Carry your inner tubes in a container that protects them from perforations (B'Twin carry case, original packaging, etc.).
To find out the size of your wheels, check the information printed on the tire wall. Always carry a spare inner tube and a pump.
