Questions & Answers

Question:

Does it arrive built and ready to use or flat and needing expert assembly?

Answer:

The bike arrives 95% assembeled so depending on your mechanical ability the assebly is minimal. Front wheel install, seat post inserted and pedals installed. You will likely need to inflate tires as they not shipped fully inflated.

There are super bikes!

The bike is very, very fast, you maintain 30 km/h without any effort, it is not by chance that it is "speed". In addition, it is as simple as possible in terms of maintenance, shimano altus are put on more expensive mountain bikes, there is no front derailleur, which is great, it also has a headlight and brake lights with USB charging, which are quite useful for the city. It is very easy to fight, 11 kilos, this is a pistarka. Be careful only with the curbs and street covers, the 32k tires must be kept. My only remark is that there is no step provided for support, because the brake line interferes with the installation and the frame.

CORRECT

Bike, with excellent value for money, totally meets my expectations, small downside on the original tires which cracked very quickly and which caused me to puncture three times in two months. The Decathlon store therefore replaced the tires for me under the warranty. The bike could always be improved, but for €470. Can we really wait any longer? Could you give me the maximum tire size that can be put on this bike? I am therefore very satisfied with this purchase which allows me to go to work daily.

Top bike

Very happy with this bike, able to buy it for a good price, and not suddenly for the much expensive price. I'm very happy with it, it's a really nice bike. Before you know it you'll be cycling at a speed of 30 km/h, without it requiring too much effort.

Good sturdy bike but TRANSMISSION PROBLEM :(

Like a lot of reviews here, I'm just going off the rails, even after going through decathlon twice, nothing helps, a little power and it jumps, it's so dangerous and annoying that I can't put myself down anymore as a dancer and i'm frustrated putting in energy and being punished instantly.. i've already had 3 falls in town due to wet sidewalks, some more serious than others, i lose confidence in handling of the bike by dint of falling! I wonder if we shouldn't remove a link in the chain just to stretch it all out. I don't see too many solutions, yet I really like the bike, but I can't really enjoy it because of these problems...

Really nice

STRESSES: Aesthetically beautiful Light and reactive Excellent for the city Precise shifting and more than sufficient for the plain or short gradients Very comfortable lighting, with movement sensors; the lights are recharged in one night and last a week (with average use 1h/day) Tires that can be inflated to 6atm for maximum smoothness DEFECTS (remediable) The position of the gear lever does not allow you to keep your thumb under the knob Brakes disc with only one mobile piston and the other fixed (less power and more difficult to adjust than those with two mobile pistons) I had to tighten and grease the mobile cap (in plastic) of the bottom bracket because it would give up I had to change it twice the front brake wire because the block nut wore it (problem solved with a filing). I hope it doesn't go out of production because I would buy it again (personal and subjective opinion)

A great bike for the price.

Bought this bike two years ago and all I can say is that with regular maintenance and replacement and wearing parts this is a super reliable bike.

good bike

Overall I am very happy with this bike. I have been using it for about a year, 5 days a week for cycling (10km per day) and occasionally for walks. Very practical, light, and very good value for money (bought €399, it has since increased). Strengths: - Very nice bike. Well equipped, with the mudguards, as well as the integrated lights which can be charged. - The price ! - Lightweight, single deck therefore easy to use, easy to handle. Weaknesses: - The tires, punctured quite quickly (300 kms), but I live in Paris and there is often glass on the cycle paths. I took the opportunity to ride SCHWALBE Marathon Plus in 700x32. They are very resistant and relatively inexpensive (online sale on another site). - The brakes. Mechanical braking but for the price you can't expect more. However, I changed discs and pads (Shimano B05S for the pads at €5 a pair and Shimano SM-RT56 at €9 a disc), although the pads were still good. But the braking left something to be desired, and I took the opportunity to change the disc because the new ones are in resin, unlike the old semi-metallic ones. - The plastic pedals, they are not very resistant. I broke one on my first outing a bit pushed. But Decathlon changed them for me, with the pair of my choice (thank you). - The derailleur is entry level, not perfect but sufficient for my use. - On the lighting side, the lights do not blink, it's a shame, otherwise they work well. Overall, very happy with this bike. It is suitable for city use, and some rides on smooth paths (no suspension, on dirt, cobblestones or roots, you can feel it over long distances). The components are entry-level, but it is possible to change the material for better, when it is at the end of its life (pads, disc, derailleurs, cassette...) I am very satisfied with my bike, thank you.

Spectacular Bike, Wrong Sizes and Saddle

This bike is very good for the city, its concept is ideal for those who want good mobility. Now the sizes that decathlon proposes are completely on the side... 585 of top tube for a person with 1.71? It's just for lying down. And in that case they should have put a saddle with a bigger tear like the van rysel edr because of the position. Always choose a size below if you can. If I went back I would have bought an M... Are you going to sell this product again now?

good city bike, dynamic

overall satisfied with this purchase after 5 months of use mainly in cycling. - Frame: good profile, sporty posture, very easy to handle. The cables are well fixed to the frame - Wheels/tire: the width of the tire (32") allows more comfort but it sticks to the road, the feeling of sliding or speed is not there. - Weight of the bike : you can't say it's light, the lack of feeling of sliding also plays a role in perception - Derailleur / transmission: very good set of gears (8 speeds with a single chainring), it's great. speed is not very precise, but I have never derailed so far; The small casing protects the pants well from the chainring. - Mudguards: very effective and well positioned - Integrated lights: top - Saddle: very good, comfortable and streamlined - Pedals: not very comfortable for (flat) city shoes - Straight handlebars with grip/brakes/speed/bell well positioned, the handlebars could have been a little narrower by a few centimeters - Disc brakes: top, even if it is useful to retighten them after a few months. store to find the right product (especially the crutch)

Great bike but real mechanical issues

This bike is really superb in terms of design and efficiency I am happy with my purchase for almost daily use in commuting. Unfortunately, I agree with the previous comments because I have encountered many transmission problems since my purchase: - Chain broken during the third outing - Very regular derailment problem at the level of the chainring (one or two derailments on a one-way trip of 6 km ..) . This problem persists despite 4 visits to the decathlon workshop in less than 6 months. Last visit to find that the plateau is veiled. Part unavailable before mid-July.. In conclusion, a pleasure to ride this bike but extremely disappointed with the transmission problems encountered despite several visits to the workshop.

The best bike for the city

A sensational bike. The relation price vs quality I give 10/10. I cycle around Gdańsk to work, 10 km each way. I did not expect the bike to be so good. handling, driving dynamics sensational! I have 3 more bikes (MTB, road, trekking). since I got this bike, I don't use trekking, I don't ride the road in the city either. I only assembled the rack to the bike to mount the pannier. 1 x8 drive is completely sufficient, after a year of riding almost non-stop no problems 💪 Riding this bike is pure pleasure, just remember to adjust the brakes. I recommend!

The chain derails tirelessly at the front

Wishing to switch to a sportier bike than my Elops 520, I went for this model which had good reviews. Quickly, I understood that I had the right to use only 7th gear under penalty of derailing immediately at the front as soon as I barely loaded the pedals uphill or accelerating. After a few derailments, the plastic cover was crushed by the chain. Following a visit to the workshop, I was told that I was derailing because the crankset would be veiled. The service was done under warranty. Following this visit to the workshop, my authorized speed range went from strictly 7th to 5-6-7 but I still derail several times per trip, and sometimes simply with a small bump in the road or a back of donkey. Tired of arriving with your hands full of grease, tired of taking my thigh in the handlebars with each derailment, tired of being afraid of putting myself in a dancer. This problem is all the more frustrating as the rest of the bike totally met my expectations :(.

Poor quality Attachments

In the first 3 months I’ve lost all the reflectors, the rear light clamp has fallen off mid ride resulting in a lot light. And the front wheel valve has broken. Over all a nice looking bike, but very poor build quality.

That I replace the cable with the same thing or that the result is the same for the Decathlon atelier. A peu déçu donc par les commentaires positifs sur la force de freinage, sans que je puisse en profiter durably.
