No cushioning

After half an hour of walking on flat, dry ground: pain in the sole of the foot. Very uncomfortable: I cannot tie it up to the top because it is uncomfortable: I have to tie it lower but the foot is not very tight. I am disappointed especially given the price. I wanted to discuss it with the department manager but he curtly told me that he sold billions of them.

Knees

I have been wearing these sneakers for years because they have greatly reduced my knee pain. They last for about a year with the strap I put on them for about 11 months, although it could be extended. In that time, I already notice that they do not have the same effect. cushioning, which may not be the most durable in the world nor the most beautiful but the fact is that I will easily have been buying the same ones for 5 or 6 years because in my case they improve my pain a lot.

Great product, comfort and aesthetics

Shoe model already purchased several years ago. Comfortable and aesthetic shoes. Too bad the old colors have been removed from sale. I recommend

Super comfortable

Bought these just before a recent trip to South America. They are very lightweight and were extremely comfortable. I walked many, many miles in them and I might just buy another pair, to keep in stock for the future. I take a size 6.5 in everyday shoes, I bought a size 7 to accommodate walking socks and they were perfect

Grippy soles on natural footpaths

The sole’s design is the result of extensive research carried out in our labs. We favored a specific rubber formula that optimizes grip and resistance. Since requirements differ, we systematically seek the best compromise for hiking on off-road trails with loose ground, such as forest trails.

Designed for use on country trails

Our hiking boots are designed for use on off-road trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to hiking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (asphalt) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.

Laboratory tested

Laboratory tests were also conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our Hiking Boots.

Where does our leather come from?

We use a leather called ‘nubuck’. It has a soft, silky feel. The leather used on these boots comes from cows. We do not kill any animals to obtain this leather: We only use waste from the food industry. The leather in these boots comes from French skins that are then tanned in Spain.

How to look after your leather boots

After your hikes, we advise you to:- Dry your boots away from any heat sources - Brush the dry leather vigorously with a stiff brush to remove mud and dirt- Use a crepe brush or nubuck rubber to remove stains- If the stains persist, clean with a brush and a little warm water - Leave to dry- Brush again with a stiff brush- Use spray-on waterproofing: This will make the leather shine and bring out the colors

How to choose the right size hiking boots

Try on both boots, standing up and wearing the socks you use for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check 2 comfort points: - the heel seating- the front of the foot on a downward slopeAvoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually start using your boots during your 1st few hiking trips to break them in.

The shoe/sock combination plays an important role

There are multiple factors that may cause blisters when you walk: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a shoe size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important to choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your hiking boots.

How to choose the right size hiking socks

You need to choose the correct sock size for your feet to prevent any extra folds from forming. These folds may form because the sock is too big and therefore there is too much material around your foot, or because the sock so small and is pulled toward the inside of your foot.

Product testing

Our design team conceives, designs, and creates Quechua products in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other hikers to check their comfort and durability. In the Fontainebleau Forest or in Brittany, for example. We go on as many trails as possible, in all weather conditions. This creates plenty of opportunities for discussions to get your feedback, which is used to plan our future products!

Storage instructions

We recommend you store your boots in a dry, dark, and, if possible, ventilated place.
