I went to snorkeling with my husband at the end of April. The water was icy cold. With this wetsuit, it could kept me warm.
This wetsuit has no way of sealing the neck/collar. Using it for swimming means that water comes in through the neck with every stroke. There is no point in a thicker wetsuit which lets in water. Better to buy a thinner one that's water tight. if I could get my money back I would. only buy this if you wish to bob around and stay upright in the water.
Great fit and perfect for a bit more than a lightweight summer suit. Ideal for Northern Ireland in the summer. Temp range spot on.
Totally useless wetsuit for keeping water out at all. I followed Decathlons measuring quide and input the measurements to their calculator and ordered their recommended size. On trying it on it seemed a reasonable fit. However on first wear I realised how poorly the neck opening was sealed, if you were in the water for any length of time fresh cold water constantly streamed in. It also came in at the legs so basically instead of having some water in which should heat up which is what I believe is supposed to happen cold water kept wooshing down the neck and up the legs. I realise it is supposed to be for beginner surfers but surely that means it should offer some warmth when you are undoubtedly submerged in water for brief spells. I found this to be so bad I reverted to my cheap shortie mountain warehouse wetsuit as it had a better neck seal!
Nice thick wetsuit but the water keep coming in around the collar area. Everytime I lifted my arms another cold gush entered so no chance of warming up. Also water coming in at the bottom of legs too. Ordered large as medium seemed too tight in shop but maybe it would have stretched…. disappointed.
I purchased this suit to use for use in North East Scotland. I hadn't had a wetsuit before and didn't want to spend a fortune in case I didn't really enjoy sea swimming, however when I tried on I found it so comfortable and well fitting....and I have discovered I love sea swimming! I have used it three times in the past week, it is easily cleaned and dries quite quickly. I am a size 16 and the suit is XL. Highly recommended.
I found the sizing confusing when I received the suit the label suggested it was larger than a 14 but it fitted snugly. I am normally a size 12 but would advise going a size up. All in all it kept me comfy in the North Sea water as the material is thick. It dried overnight which is great if you want to use it on a daily basis.
bought this for spring break in Devon. sea was COLD but very warm in this wet suit and walked 15 min trip home in it and still warm.

Reasonably priced surf suit
I ordered the size (L) for sup boarding. Iam 5ft 7 65kg and uk dress size 12. The wetsuit arrived, ticket says (L) GB 16- 18. And it fits me great, not super tight as I don't like that, but it is tight. Been out in the water and on the board 4 times so far and it is super warm(I have raynolds) and was not cold. Kept its shape did not bag out when in the water. Nice female shape.
very comfortable and very warm. fits great. flattering. all black with coral pink zipper tag chest branding. have used it swimming in the sea and in lakes. looking forward to surfing in it soon. i am size 6/8 and 5ft4 - bought an xs.
Bought one of these for my 12 year old daughter. The suit itself is good, keeps her warm and fits well. But it smells absolutely awful, and taints any fabric it touches with the same smell. Might be a bad batch, I should have returned it but have had it over a year now (with no reduction in the odour over that time). Have used wetsuits since 1994 myself, never had one that smelt as offensive as this!
Snug fit in general, slightly too long as i'm short (expected with all wetsuits). Reasonably warm but flushes from the zip area (expected at this price point, but uncomfortable in cold water). Biggest problem is that water collects in the lower leg to football size. Have to empty suit every 30 minutes. Will return under decathlon 365-day guarantee

You are learning to surf or surf only a few times a year, during your holidays or a surf trip. You stay where you can touch the bottom, in tiny waves or broken waves. You surf for the pleasure of being in the water and for the feeling you get from it. During your sessions, you often fall but you fall in waves that are not very powerful. We have designed a wide range of products for you, to suit your occasional activity and your body shape.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)
The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 20°C. Temperate water between 17°C and 22°C. Cold water between 12°C and 17°C. Very cold water between 7°C and 12°C. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models. NOTE: the 900 models are easier to put on.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet.
Fastening
Our zips and fastenings are laboratory tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water.We have put the zip at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
