Meets expectations
My daughter's bike was delivered without a bell, although it is normally included. Furthermore, unless I'm mistaken, it is nowhere mentioned that this bike is "for men" and I read in the comments that it could be suitable for women. However, when we asked for a women's saddle in store, we were forced to pay for it. A few years ago we had the right to choose between a women's saddle and a men's saddle when purchasing a mountain bike. Otherwise my daughter is very happy with her bike.
Very good bra, I didn't expect it to hold me, 190 cm tall and 120 Kg but look it holds and it's perfect for me, exactly what I wanted, quality materials, light, in one word wonderful!
The bike works phenomenally and for this price and with these features there is none on the market. I would like to thank Edu for the great attention he gave me at the San Sebastián de los Reyes store, as he not only checked and adjusted the bike but also explained many things to me about how to adjust it in the future. A 10 from person, thank you very much!
I've been using it for about a year for commuting and it's more than enough. Very good value for money. Replacement / adaptability of components still to be worked on. Example: the cassette body of the rear wheel (8 speeds) is not compatible with 11 speeds (triban grvl 520). If you want to switch to 11 speeds, it is recommended in the store to change the wheel...
*****
Bike perfectly suited to my velotaf use for the moment Some very pleasant rides without any problem. The bike was very well prepared by the technician from Decarhlon Thiais. Excellent support during the purchase
bought it after riding steel single speed for years. looked for an affordable bike to get me doing longer rides as I'm trying to improve my fitness. not one thing to complain about it. everything is as expected and the delivery was on point. it brakes great (after 50km break in period), shifts great, handles great and really comfortable. I hope long term reliability is as great as the bike is so far.
First hundreds of kilometers done, and for my first road bike, I can only recommend it for beginners. Nothing to complain about yet, top notch
I knew exactly what I was buying and I was not disappointed. The bike rides like crazy, it is very comfortable, its heavy weight is not felt at all while riding. It drives calmly, the tires perform well not only on asphalt but also on cobblestone surfaces, ensuring a minimum of comfort. The handlebar tape is not very pleasant, but as long as I ride with gloves on, it is not a big problem. The bottom bracket must be replaced, because the original one is a terrible piece of plastic - I put a BB-RS501 and a 50/34T crank from Claris there, but even replacing it with a normal square bottom bracket will help with the cassette waving. The saddle is definitely for teenagers, older men like me will probably want to replace it with something shorter - I already have Selle Boost X3 ready. The weakest element are the brakes, but everyone probably knows that.
In addition to running, I ride a bicycle as a supplement to my training in order to spare my joints a little. The decision fell on this model because it was the best buy in this class, which we can call the entry class for road cycling. So far I have done 300-400 km with it. Considering the transition from some MTB version of the bike to this one, it took time to adapt. For someone who hasn't tried a road bike - the ride geometry is definitely different. The bike is harder, more direct and, of course, faster. The bike is not for stunts through the city, it prefers the open road. Passing over potholes and obstacles on the road should definitely be done with caution and at low speeds because the tires are under high pressure, compared to "regular" bikes", which means hard impacts. Tires and brakes - what is mostly criticized. The brakes are a bit harder , but they are satisfactory. They don't squeak or whine for me. I don't have any problems with the tires. They are inflated to 7.5 bar. The downside of the tire is quite poor traction, especially in the wet, but these are road tires with a small tread and that's to be expected. As for tire bursts that some mention - I had a situation where I ran into a metal object on the road. I expected the tire to be damaged, but there are no scratches. All in all, the bike is for riding at speeds higher than 30-35 km/h in a straight line on asphalt . Although it looks "fragile" - it's not. It's ready to handle bumps and bumps probably thanks to the tall column of the tires + rims. I was planning to buy a separate higher quality seat, but the one that comes with it is great. The part that perhaps surprised me the most. The quality of the drive train time will have to tell, but the transmission ratios are perfectly arranged for driving at higher speeds. It rolls smoothly.
For those who will purchase it! Check everything very well. Mine came with the monobloc bottom bracket mounted incorrectly, the installer didn't make sure the thread was aligned with that of the frame and threaded it destroying the thread of the monobloc (thankfully it was plastic and didn't destroy the thread of the frame). I noticed this on a closer look because there was play in the bottom bracket shortly after. Seeing how poorly the people who installed it did their job, I preferred to solve the problem myself by installing a new monobloc bottom bracket. I'm sorry I can't post a picture so you can see what the fillet looks like.
As a first road bike it's ok, there's probably nothing better at this price.
The bike is good, I'm happy with it. On the other hand, the service was not good at all, I had to see 3 workers. When I asked to make the adjustments to my size and he told me it was fine without even looking and he said he was ready... So I pointed out to him that the tires were deflated, that the saddle was at its lowest (I'm 1m91 tall) Then I asked him to install mudguards and a computer and again I had to insist that he do it. So zero for service.
Very happy with it for beginners, I also ride MTB, but for a good change, this racing bike is definitely a bargain, you have a satisfied customer
