Question:

Is there a way to purchase a new front wheel? I was in a car accident and only my front wheel was damaged.

Answer:

For sure, the wheel is a stanard size and should be available at your local bike shop. The components are 100% standard and should be easy to find. If you want to re-use exisiting parts, you can ask your local bike shop to rebuild the wheel on a similar rim reusing your hub, and rotor if they were not damaged in the accident.

Good for beginners

I give my opinion after more than 3000 km. From the first rides, you feel the lack of gears with only 8 speeds at the rear. The weight and high aerodynamic resistance are also weak points. It's a good bike for beginners or for home/work. Currently, I only use it on a simulator at home or as a loaner bike for group rides.

I've had this bike for almost two years, I drove from Moravia to Bratislava to get it, it wasn't available anywhere in the Czech Republic for a long time - and I don't regret it. On the contrary, for the money, an excellent bike, unbeatable price/performance ratio. I ride mainly on paved roads and cycle paths, but it can easily handle dirt roads, gravel and gravel. Microshift shifting is reliable and precise. It also handles a child seat attached to the frame without any problems. (Frame size M)

Very happy with this bike.

Purchase since May 2022, I first learned lots of things about road bikes in writing or on video before making this purchase, which many do not do and then bite their fingers. The Pluses: bike with good pedaling, 28 tires are good because that's what you need with sometimes not great roads, so far no punctures, the brakes are good. The minuses: pads which brake well but which whistle at the front, better materials are needed in the pad linings or buy pads with better quality lining especially for the whistling, rear derailleur which goes out of adjustment a little quickly and what rarely happens in all bike brands, changing the saddle because the original one was not really suited to my body shape. Conclusion: I am happy with this bike (minimum rides of 20 km, maximum rides of 100 km for the moment), and work bike from time to time. I recommend this bike for those who are like me, who adjust their own derailleurs, who do their own maintenance. For others to find out more, to see if derailleurs, like Shimano for example, go wrong less often.

I got this bike back,…

I got this bike back, it's great, however, I have a downside on certain equipment (Ex: chainring) which are in the photo on the online store. When we got it back, the equipment was not the right one... in fact the characteristics of the bike are not the same. Damage.

Great beginner bike

Excellent bike for starting the road I wanted to start road cycling after practicing VTC for 5 years. The bike is very comfortable, I do rides for up to 2 hours without shorts without problem The components are quality, the design is simple and robust The 2x8 transmission is very wide (minimum ratio 1-1), and I have no had no problem with it It's less fluid and faster than a Shimano Sora transmission for example but for the use of this bike that has no importance: the important thing is that it is precise and reliable The bike has been very good prepared by the Decathlon store in Morlaix The improvement I made is to equip it with Triban 700x28 flexible bead tires for greater comfort (I perforated the sidewall of the original tire on a stone) It goes well on the paths, and potentially can accept larger tires I find it very beautiful but the light paint is a little messy The braking is very biting In conclusion it is a very versatile bike which can accompany you on different adventures (outings sports, travel, cycling) Next modification: putting on car pedals, it's a real gain Thanks to Décathlon for offering quality products at the best price

Deplorable transmission, model to avoid

The transmission of the Triban RC120 does not hold up over time and since the overhaul mine has been working even less well than before: friction, jerks, derailments and gear changes at any time... It is not expensive to buy but if you have to buy one every year I don't see the point...

Good product to start with…

Excellent bike - poor preparation

Excellent bike, versatile and pleasant. Beautiful design. Ultra fast delivery in 24 hours. Disappointment in terms of preparation. The gears shift poorly and jump while pedaling. I do not have the knowledge to carry out the adjustment myself nor a nearby store

Excellent geometries, terrible crankset and price

Personally I was influenced by the geometries which are better than the 500 series... but the bike was given to me with the wrong crankset, not Tourney but a generic and very cheap crankset. The bike weighs 11kg therefore it is not very light but remains comfortable and stable.. the fork is declared to be carbon but has changed compared to the past. In short, 2 years ago it cost 400 euros and was fine, today at 549 euros with this weight it seems too much to me.

return after approximately 5500 km

Hello, The bike was perfect for 2 years (around 3000 km) then the parts started to fail one after the other. It started with the front brake which slammed and stopped braking, which I replaced identically (around 50€) Then the same for the rear brake (really 50€). A rear spoke then broke (15€ changed by decath) then the chain broke, I changed it with the cassette (around 40€). the front brake is starting to have the same fault as at the beginning, I have to change it. and finally the bottom bracket "broke" yesterday, there is play in it, impossible for me to repair it independently. In short, it's been a great traveling companion for 3.5 years but I think I'm reaching the limits... I'm going to change bikes because I no longer have confidence in mine (afraid that a part will break at any time)
