Question:

Is there a way to purchase a new front wheel? I was in a car accident and only my front wheel was damaged.

Answer:

For sure, the wheel is a stanard size and should be available at your local bike shop. The components are 100% standard and should be easy to find. If you want to re-use exisiting parts, you can ask your local bike shop to rebuild the wheel on a similar rim reusing your hub, and rotor if they were not damaged in the accident.

A bike goes everywhere.…

A bike goes everywhere. The derailleurs are not very precise, the mechanical disc brakes and semi-mineral pads lack a bit of bite, but a very good touring bike/work bike overall.

Top racing bike for eating up the miles! Lots of fun

It looks very classy and can also compete in more expensive categories. Ideal for beginners. The weight is also right. You should first look at yourself and see if you can lose a kilo or two. But that's what the bike is for. You'll notice 5kg less body weight more than 1kg less on a racing bike.

It's better to pay extra for a better one

The bike is so-so. The price is OK. I think it's better to pay extra and buy something better. The brakes are very bad and after just 2 weeks it got very scratched.

Very average

Bike received at home and upon unpacking it's already a disappointment. The handlebar tape is damaged, and there are strange marks on the gray frame (black and red marks very difficult to remove) No speed passing and friction of the front disc. The next day I take the bike to the Decathlon store near my house to make adjustments and resolve any problems. Return and road tests. My chain is rubbing on the front derailleur fork on the big chainring. There is always a friction on the front wheel probably the disc which must be warped... Concretely, barely received and I simply want to return the bike. Also very disappointed with the adjustments made in store because in the end, almost nothing was adjusted.

Very good bike for…

Very good bike for starting road cycling, the materials are sturdy and for the moment are reliable. Used regularly 1 to 2 times a week for almost a year and no problems.

Great bike

I have an RC120 size S with 1 chainring discs. I am not a big sportswoman but this model fully meets my expectations. It is ultra light, perfectly suited to outings and easily pushes me towards 30 km per day. Everything is perfect, the brakes and the chainrings. Convertible into Gravel for travel! (I recommend getting disc brakes) I highly recommend this product with its unbeatable value for money!

After years of…

After years of VTC for daily travel, wanted to try something else by purchasing this Triban. No regrets.

Serious cyclists, avoid this bike

The bike has been used for almost two years. After the initial excitement with this "best buy" product, the impressions are rather weak. The seat is uncomfortable, so if you plan to do longer routes, my recommendation is to get another one. Immediately throw the pedals you get with it in the trash where they belong and get others. To avoid unpleasant squealing of the brakes and shaking of the entire steering wheel, immediately change the bad tires and put on some organic ones, plus straighten the discs (mine had a stroke of over 3mm). My height is 168 cm, so, according to all recommendations and tables, I bought size S, but I have the impression that this size is too small for me because, in order to achieve the ideal height, I pulled out the sic bar all the way and the too short 80 mm bars on the handlebars, so my knees they do not have enough space for pedaling - recommendation: if you have the opportunity, be sure to try the bike before buying. Wheels are a disaster, to put it mildly, because it's only a matter of time before you have to change the tire, and then it's a headache because you'll struggle with it to the point of frustration and the question "why did I buy this cheap product". Even worse is the realization that there are physically no better wheels for that bike that you can put on them, and that's the whole point of being dissatisfied with this product.

Great for the price

Bought for road cycling, super cool but a small downside from the point of view of the transmission which is not super precise and goes out of adjustment quite quickly, despite having re-adjusted correctly several times. Otherwise the bike is great!

Excellent value for price.

Good for beginners

I give my opinion after more than 3000 km. From the first rides, you feel the lack of gears with only 8 speeds at the rear. The weight and high aerodynamic resistance are also weak points. It's a good bike for beginners or for home/work. Currently, I only use it on a simulator at home or as a loaner bike for group rides.

I've had this bike for almost two years, I drove from Moravia to Bratislava to get it, it wasn't available anywhere in the Czech Republic for a long time - and I don't regret it. On the contrary, for the money, an excellent bike, unbeatable price/performance ratio. I ride mainly on paved roads and cycle paths, but it can easily handle dirt roads, gravel and gravel. Microshift shifting is reliable and precise. It also handles a child seat attached to the frame without any problems. (Frame size M)

Pedalboard problem

Huge disappointment. Nothing is wrong with the pedal board which has barely come out of the box and is already slightly warped! Impossible to correctly adjust the front derailleur, the chain rubs on it, 4 visits in 4 days to the Decathlon workshops and even they cannot adjust it, it goes out of adjustment again after a few km. Ditto the front brake which already whistles when braking after barely 60km. The wheels and the frame are of good quality, but it would be better to mount it with a Shimano Sora, even if it means increasing the price of the bike by €30. So I made an exchange with another Triban bike in Shimano Sora this time. Thanks to the super friendly and responsive after-sales service.

Very happy with this bike.

Purchase since May 2022, I first learned lots of things about road bikes in writing or on video before making this purchase, which many do not do and then bite their fingers. The Pluses: bike with good pedaling, 28 tires are good because that's what you need with sometimes not great roads, so far no punctures, the brakes are good. The minuses: pads which brake well but which whistle at the front, better materials are needed in the pad linings or buy pads with better quality lining especially for the whistling, rear derailleur which goes out of adjustment a little quickly and what rarely happens in all bike brands, changing the saddle because the original one was not really suited to my body shape. Conclusion: I am happy with this bike (minimum rides of 20 km, maximum rides of 100 km for the moment), and work bike from time to time. I recommend this bike for those who are like me, who adjust their own derailleurs, who do their own maintenance. For others to find out more, to see if derailleurs, like Shimano for example, go wrong less often.
