About this item:
- We recommend the 900 set of irons for golfers with a handicap under 15. We describe them as distance player irons made for golfers looking for a better ball control.
- These clubs are for right-handed golfers
- Size 2 is suitable for golfers with a ground to wrist distance over 31”, whatever the gender. If you in between the 2 sizes, we recommend going with Size 1.
- Mid Speed: We consider a golfer with a mid swing speed someone who will need to hit their 7 iron or 6 iron to reach 150 yards. The Shaft is a Nippon 850 Regular.
- 5,6,7 Irons are with forged face and hollow body. 8,9, PW are full forged blades irons, less forgiving but great precision and feel.

Product Customer Reviews

I tried a friend's series - I loved it. I did a fitting in Bron - I loved it. So I bought this series and it’s a game changer for me. After Ping and Wilson, here I am at Inesis and it's a revelation. The clubs land on their own, the stance is intuitive and the shots go off really well....with great precision. I love the sound and especially the look. A super fine club, you have the impression of playing the rods of very good players! Currently index 21 (and I've been stagnating there for too long), I'm convinced that I'm going to go down with this series... crazy stuff, I tell you!
Excellent irons, remain tolerant despite targeting low handicap players. These irons offer very good ability to work balls. Still require a certain precision in the execution of the swing,
I'm happy with my clubs, I got a tenth of them so far. There was just a problem with the assembly of iron 5, obviously the glue did not hold. It was fixed for me within 10 days. I have to go back because the 7 iron has also turned in the housing or is it only the grip that has moved? Is there an assembly fault? Case to follow.
Great product ... only happiness
Please note that the head of my 7 iron is coming off after 2 months of use. The worst thing is that I have a friend who bought the same series 6 months ago and the head of his 7 iron and 6 iron is also coming off. On the 6 the head even went on impact. Hyper dangerous she left 30 meters away. Decathlon takes them back and glues them back together, but it's a serious problem. And when we look for other opinions, well, we are far from being the only ones. Very big lack of professionalism from Decathlon. They.didn't fix the.problem over time. Poor quality glue or incompetent assembly staff??? Otherwise a shame because the clubs are super nice...
Good club overall. Just a problem on the 5 iron, during the first use the iron came off and left with the ball. Bonding fault? Return to the workshop in Lille.
I bought them as a replacement for my old Ping summer 2. Extreme tolerance is more precision gained. Well done Decathlon!
Top clubs for a top price bravo!
Very happy with my new 900 series! Superb aesthetics and very good balance. A super pleasant touch on the forged. Super value for money.
Very nice set of irons. The +: look, distance and also tolerance on the long irons.
After 6 months of use I am very happy with my purchase. High and tense trajectories, with care fast enough to stop the ball on the green whether with a pitch or the 5 iron. Only one downside. It is a pity not to have different sizes of grip .........
Truly excellent set, sold at an absolutely convenient price.
They are great, the forged irons give me very good feelings, as for the irons from 7 to 5 they have pep and are also tolerant. It's a real pleasure to have your clubs in your hands. and they are beautiful. To try it is to adopt it ! A friend has also just acquired it this afternoon following the tests of my clubs. I note traces of polishing on the pitch. (on this subject could you contact me).
These are demanding clubs! Might as well let it be known, because they are not to be put in everyone's hands. The look is gorgeous. The contact is superb... so well touched! The tolerance is only valid on the side effects, because big loss of distance if too far from the sweet spot. By voluntarily exaggerating the ball grips open or closed face, I only had weak lateral dispersions (which rather surprised me!) In terms of distance, this only applies if the contact is good at the origin . The lofts are consistent for good indexes (less than 11 in my opinion).
After about twenty courses, the series corresponds well to what I expected. I have an index of 13. If I had to find areas for improvement I would say enlarge the range of shafts, the difference between the regular and the stiff is too marked, adding a Japanese 950 SR would be perfect. Otherwise I love the feeling of forged heads (pw at 8), I find the hollow less pleasant and the feedback is much less rich, I would really like to have forged on the whole range. In conclusion I would say that the series is perfect for experienced players but the target of expert players is difficult to reach for the 2 reasons I mentioned.

Forged from steel
The pitching wedge, 9-iron and 8-iron are forged blades made of 1025 steel. This mild steel offers an unbeatable feel and is carbon-enriched to enhance its mechanical properties. From the 7-iron to 5-iron, a forged face made of 455 steel has been kept for a great feel. And here a moulded hollow-body clubhead made from 17-4PH steel has been chosen to provide the forgiveness and power of hollow technology.
Advanced clubs at a glance
An advanced club is also a matter of appearance and confidence. We have therefore gradually minimised the offset. It is almost absent from the short irons, whereas it can be found on the long irons without ever being obtrusive. The same principle has been applied to the topline. A very fine topline has been marked onto the short irons. You can be sure to be holding a precision club so you can play the ball exactly as you imagined.
Loft story
We calibrated the lofts of the 900 irons after hours of testing. This ensured that, regardless of the technology used, there are perfectly regular distance intervals between each club.We have chosen to laser engrave the loft onto each clubhead. This means you know exactly what you're playing with. The 900 set is to be supplemented with the 900 wedges. They continue on seamlessly from the 44° 900 PW. You have the choice between 4 900 wedges: 48°, 52°, 56° and 58°.
A word from nicolas (handicap 3), product manager for the 900 clubs
”The advanced club par excellence is the forged blade. With its sleek, elegant design and unbeatable feel. This is what we have chosen for our short irons, for maximum feel and feedback every time you take on the green. But the blade becomes harder to play with the medium irons, and an outright challenge with the long irons. So, starting from the 7-iron, a hollow clubhead has been chosen to ensure control, power and forgiveness. The COMBO set –THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
4-iron and 3-iron available as single clubs
3-iron and 4-iron are available as single clubs to supplement your set of 900 irons. They are fitted to the same shafts for perfect consistency.4-IRON: Loft 22°3-IRON: Loft 19° We have designed 'utility irons' to provide you with more confidence in the address position and offer greater distance and forgiveness for these harder shots. The forged face made of 455 steel has been kept for a great feel and to ensure continuity with the 900 set. The moulded hollow head is made from 17-4PH steel.
