I love how snug these socks fit. They're not as thick as I thought they would be. I double up on them when I walk. Haven't used them yet for hiking and am a bit hesitant to do so as they don't feel as if there's enough cushioning.

These are comfortable, durable and are just that bit taller than the usual running sock, so that I no longer get pebbles, twigs or bits of leaf down my socks when I'm hiking or running. Great value!
I wore these on a 3-day, 40 mile backpack walk (with a 15kg pack) in hot weather (24°+). They kept my feet cool and comfortable apart from the rather thick seam across the toes. This made my big toe go numb after about 10 miles (16km). I have the same problem with the higher version, which I have been using for several months.
These took some heavy duty walking. Lotng distances in baking heat. Comfortable all day. Would buy again and recommend.
After first use, even with Quechua shoes, it started to breaking in parts.It did not tear but cotton balls was all over the socks, and shoes. I am really disappointed. Did not think that such brand could sell untested products with this price.And the worst part is that I can not return, since I am in Armenia, and there is no company that arranges package delivery to London. :/

Thread characteristics
The sole of the sock is made from brushed cotton. Brushed cotton is made from much longer fibers, that feel silky, that interweave better. The result is it’s much shinier, softer to the touch, more stable when washing and more durable in use. The top of the foot and heel are made from Polyamide for greater breathability and durability.
The shoe/sock combination plays an important role.
There are numerous causes of blisters when hiking: rubbing, a fold in the socks, damp, shoes that are a size too small or too big... We therefore recommend you choose the correct shoe size and the sock fabric that is adapted to your walking shoes.
How to choose the size of your hiking socks?
You need to choose a sock size that’s adapted to your foot to avoid any additional folding of the material: either because the sock is too big and therefore there is too much material around your foot, or because the sock is too small and is pulled toward the inside of the boot. We use the qualities of spandex so that our socks fit your foot properly and stay in place. It’s important to try the socks on before going off hiking.
How to choose the material of your hiking socks?
You need to manage moisture as best you can when walking: you will sweat, it is often inevitable. If your shoe is breathable, it will wick away the damp from your perspiration: you need to choose light and breathable socks also If your shoe is waterproof, to protect yourself from the dampness of rain and you will not make the same choice: you should prefer socks that will absorb your perspiration and then wick it away from your foot.
Choosing the height of your socks
We offer 3 sock heights for this model: “Low” socks: they protrude slightly from the boot, but remain below your ankle bone. They’re worn with low-upper boots. “Mid” socks: they protect your ankles, stopping just above them: they’re worn with low-upper boots. “High” socks: they’re ideal for mid-length upper hiking boots, as they stop just below the calf and protect your ankle from the boot.
Which pair of boots are suitable for nh500 mid socks?
They are ideal for use with NH500 boots: in fact, NH500 mid socks contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a terry construction under the sock that draws moisture away from your foot. Finally, they are high enough to protect your ankle from the boot. This is an excellent combination to limit the appearance of blisters.
