Good skates for beginners
We bought this product about 3 weeks ago, my son tried to skate with them once, he said they are not comfortable and he doesn’t like it. I ask the staff for return policy. They told me you should have the tag on it😢😢.I want to change the model . Is it possible? He used once.

I am issues with the product. My left leg hurts when using this. I have only used it thrice, as its very painful. I am planning to return its soon if its possible.

I wanted some new skates for (mostly) outdoor skating. My priority was skates that were insulated, but not too warm. If I could find a balance, it meant I could use them indoors and outdoors if needed. The OXELO Fit 500 ice skates seemed like the perfect solution. I appreciated the insulation, longer blades for stability, ankle support, and straps to tighten them. No longer would I have to sit around and spend 15 minutes tightening laces in -20C weather… The first time I put them on, they were super comfortable. The padding molded to my feet quite well and the straps seemed to provide an ideal amount of tension. I felt like I found the perfect pair of skates. However, over time, my opinion changed. Instead of having them break in and fit better, they ended up fitting worse. My inner right ankle is now cut open because there isn’t very much padding in that area of the skates. As the padding conformed (flattened) to the rest of my foot and leg, the ankle region started rubbing more. In addition, these skates are downright dangerous if you are wearing loose pants with a prominent inseam. The sliding plastic adjustment ratchet (on the inner leg) prominently sticks out from the skates. As a result, if you bring your legs too close together (like you sometimes do on rough outdoor rinks or when going faster) the ratchet will catch on your pant leg. I have fallen four times this season, and three of those times were from this happening. What makes it especially dangerous is how you fall. Usually if I hit a bump or pocket in the ice, I can recover somewhat with my other foot. When these skates get caught on my pants, I end up tripping myself and lifting both feet off the ground simultaneously. I used to do a lot of mountain biking, so injuries are common place in the history of my life. Even considering that, I am going to have to retire these skates because the bruises and inflamed joints front hard falls on the ice are adding up too much. I suspect these work for most people as the problem is related to a combination of my skates and pants together. However, it’s still a major design flaw and safety risk. I will be returning them to the store.
