Comfortable fit for my son who wore them on a recent hike, worn and washed since purchased. Ideal for current (Scottish) weather conditions!
My son is a wheelchair user and finds his lap gets very wet when it's rainy. These trousers have been ideal for him. They're not plasticy like some waterproof / water resistant clothing. They're also warm enough to cope with Scottish weather but still breathable. We bought more of them because he wants to wear them every school day - whether they're outside at school or not! They also have great thigh pockets (again, great for wheelchair users!) that are big enough for my son's phone. Highly recommend!

Bought older age after my son out grew his last pair. Well worn but still great quality.
Very comfortable for hiking with lots of stretch for scrambling. Tough knees too. Lots pockets. Very good value

Water-repellency
A quality achieved by applying a hydrophobic, water-repellent treatment to the fabric. This process prevents water from sticking to the fabric's surface, thus limiting the latter's ability to absorb water. When movement is added to the equation, water runs off the fabric. This is what is meant by water-repellent. Thanks to its water-repellent properties, water does not soak into the outer fabric. The pants remain light and dry more quickly.
Windproof
Wind protection is very important because of significant chill effect that wind can have on body, whether you are active/at rest.According to ”windchill” model, which measures how air temperature feels when factoring in wind and cold:at a temperature of 41°F combined with winds of 20 mph, the perceived temperature will be 32°F.If the air temperature is 32°F and wind speed is 20 mph, the perceived temperature will be 21°F.Materials used in our products help to counter the chilling effects of wind
