Am shocked and Surprised whenever it rained and I had to go out I wore jacket and pant, Jacket pocket and front had worst leakage, dont know how to share images of me reaching client in awkward wet shirt
Light and flexible, easy to store in your backpack, also ideal as a windbreaker.
I bought the jacket about 18 months ago. At first I was very happy because it was breathable and waterproof. But now I'm pretty disappointed. The inner lining of the jacket or the coating is already dissolving. This means that the membrane and the waterproofness of the jacket are getting worse and worse. Unfortunately only a purchase recommendation if you are looking for a jacket for < 2 years.
This jacket is truly waterproof. It meets my expectations even if the breathability is not as good as my other Gortex jackets.

Cut
Standard cut. The inner volume allows you to wear it over a warm 2nd warm layer such as a pullover or fleece.
Hood
Adjustable height with an elastic cord and tightening toggle. Adjustable depth using a Velcro strip positioned at the back of the hood. Visor at the top of the hood for good face protection.

2.5 layer design: The membrane is glued under the outer fabric and protected inside by a fine film. We use it for lightweight jackets.
Membrane
The waterproof rating of a product depends on the following two main criteria: its component and its construction. This product was made with a membrane.This is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight and breathable.
Layer design
2.5 layer design: The membrane is glued under the outer fabric and protected inside by a fine film. We use it for light jacket.
Component waterproofing
Laboratory tests are conducted to guarantee the waterproof rating of a component. We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 1092 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This product's component has a 15,000 mm waterproof rating and can withstand the pressure of a 15,000 mm water column. This is also equivalent to 15000 Schmerbers.
Jacket waterproofing
We conduct laboratory tests that simulate rainfall scenarios in order to guarantee the jacket's waterproof rating. This garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
Breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabricRET ≤ 12: breathable fabricRET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric This product was assessed at 10 RET
How to restore the water-repellent properties
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat.You can also use the waterproof spray (ref 8554908)
