Very good value for money bike, you won't find better on the market in terms of equipment price, the frame needs to be reviewed because the feet and calves are affected.
The bike is really great (of course this one is better Product code: 8871501 - but I didn't get the promo and it sold out), but it has one weak point, namely the Sram LevelT brakes, they are weak and have poor sensitivity - in short, they are retarders, not brakes. I rode down the Żar mountain downhill route (I know it's not a bike for gravity cycling, but it was a FAMILY route) and halfway through the route my hands had enough, and braking control was poor from the start. Similarly, on the Beskid Mały trails, on steep, rocky descents, these brakes are not up to the task (180cm 80kg), The rest of the bike without major reservations.

I just switched from the XC 100 (used for 3 years) to this Race 900S. My world has changed to full suspension and I am very happy with my purchase. The bike is very responsive, I really like the AXS gear change. Lighter than my previous bike. As everything is carbon, Decathlon in Arlon advised me to protect the wheels with foam: Vittoria Air-Liner Light anti-perforation protection. Which they installed well with a good Tubeless setup. I had to add the K-Edge Garmin Gravity Cap, because I was used to the original mounting on the XC 100 of a Garmin socket. This protects the Garmin better during falls. This is a bike to recommend. I will use it a lot for my races and outings on varied terrain in Kenya.
After a year of using this bike (training, competition) I can finally give a precise opinion. The quality-price ratio with all the components is great, the AXS is much superior and precise than the mechanical. The only drawback for me would be the brakes, which already take play from the first months and do not have the expected power. The second and last small downside would be the lock control, which is not very optimized (I think), I recommend you to change it for a rockshox onelock. Overall, it's a great bike, responsive, playful and with great performance and comfort! I recommend it without hesitation
Great bike for a great price. Worse brakes, replaced with Shimano. Comfortable suspension, great off-road, on roads I brake both shock absorbers and it's great. You won't find better for the money.

The word is not too strong. I thought I'd hang up my phone soon, but this mountain bike motivated me again. I don't know where to start. If ! what surprised me the most was the damping, its precision and its ''ease'' downhill for an XC, especially since the first outings, I didn't have the telescopic saddle. I go better than with my son's LP in 150mm and big crampons. The grip, the traction, and here too, the precision, uphill are great. I was thinking of changing the stem for a higher one, but surprisingly I am very comfortable, the position suits me. I regained sensations and pleasure. In short, a new youth. The equipment is top notch, the saddle comfortable. Downside on the brakes, but they do the job, all the same. Leak on a Mavic rim, changed in after-sales service. So much technical progress in 35 years! Congratulations to the Decathlon developers/designers/testers. I forgot the 6 star sale price! !
I just got this war machine from my wife for my birthday (happy surprise with the complicity of Olivier (decathlon Lambres-lez-Douai) to replace my xc500s which was already working very well. used last night for the first time in semi-nocturnal and what can we say other than that we change the world, a real treat in every sense of the word apart from the slightly hard saddle 😂bravo decat for all your products which make the competition pale and a big thank you to the entire Lambres-lez-team Douai!!👍👍
