Amazing Product

Really warm product

I made my first purchase online from Decathlon 6 months ago. And yes I was very skeptical. But over the course of 6 months I have spent well over $500.00 at Decathlon. Why? The selection was great, the prices are fantastic, and the products show attention to detail and quality like none other in their price range. Go ahead and make a purchase you wont regret it!!

I loce these boots they are perfect in every way

Nice boot at a great price!

I like these boots a lot! The look and feel of them exceeded my expectations especially for the price. Feel well made and lighter than I expected. They are warm enough for winter hikes but not extremely hot in mild weather. My only complaint is that they are called “mid” boots and they are definitely on the higher side.

Good shoes

Warm, comfortable, good value.

Excellent boot

Excellent boot, even when I got lost and wondered through a peat bog and ended up ankle deep in the bog, the boot did not pull off my foot, my feet remained warm and dry, the boots cleaned up well for the next adventure!

Great at low temperatures/look great

I originally ordered some Northface Tsumoru boots on a Wednesday, going away to Finland (-10/-20°C) on the following Wednesday. Only email I got from them was they would be delivered a week Thursday, so was too late. I had already searched most boots in this similar price range and these Quechua were mostly sold out. Luckily after panicking that I wouldn't have anything, a pair of size 10 became available (I'm a 9) on the website on late on the Friday (midnight). I had collected them by Sunday afternoon in my local Decathlon with no delivery fees and was kept informed with regular emails. Outstanding delivery service. The boots themselves are very comfy, although they rubbed a bit at the top if I tied the tops quite tight. So just loosened them and they were fine. They look smart and go well with clothes for evening meals or whatever. Size up would be my recommendation if you'll be wearing thick socks, but you may get away with your original size if temps aren't too low and using thinner socks. Grip was good and they seemed tough enough. Don't know how they'd handle on rocks and mountain side, but wouldnt really think they're designed for this. Non-extreme urban activities in snow/ice is what I think they're aimed at. Would be great for skiing as a day/evening boot. I did originally read a review of someone else on here who'd been to Finland recently in similar weather and said they were good in the snow and at temps of - 10 or lower so decided to go with these even though the Northface turned up before I went (weren't comfy and rubbed, made feet numb after only 15mins in the house in a size 10). I only used a thick pair of merino wool socks with Quechua and my feet were kept warm in snow and ice. Used mainly for playing in the snow with my daughter, husky sled rides and general walking about, temp was as low as - 21°C some nights. Performed really well, so will be looking at other gear from Quechua from now on.

Great winter boots

Used in the UK and recently on a snowy mountain. Worked really well keeping my feet warm and dry. They are great waking in the snow, in the UK they pick up a bit more mud than I would like but nothing that is a major problem.

Can i be sure that my boots are warm enough for my winter hikes?

Based on the field and lab tests carried out to measure the perception of cold with a panel of users, we gauge the thermal insulation of our boots when stationary (static 21°F) and when moving (dynamic 5°F). As a result, you now have an accurate measure of the temperature at which you are protected with these boots. The comfort temperature ratings for your boots is shown. We take into consideration the differences in perception between men and women.

How do your boots protect you from outdoor conditions?

Your boots have been designed with a membrane to ensure optimal water-resistance. A membrane is a very fine component (between 5 and 25 micrometers) affixed to the inside of a fabric that will prevent water from entering while letting moisture escape. While you stay warm in your boots, your feet will also stay dry. The outer sole and the mid-sole insulate from the cold contact with snow.

Breathable boots for optimal thermal comfort

Thermal comfort is a balance between the warmth of the boots and its ability to allow the foot to breathe. Too much heat or not enough breathability means that damp accumulates and cold can set in. We have designed your boots with your activity in mind, be it occasional or regular, with a membrane that prevents water ingress and allows damp out.

How can i be sure that my boots are 100% waterproof?

We made sure that your boots are waterproof by conducting laboratory tests to simulate walking with the boots half submerged in water. We also conducted field tests to measure wear and aging. During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (about 2.5-mile walk), 4000 flexes (about 5-mile walk), and 8000 flexes (about 10-mile walk). This model of boot has been tested with up to 4000 flexes, which is equivalent to 5 miles of walking.

What is the difference between traction and snorkeling?

The traction of the boots depends on the number and shape of the studs. The grip is dependent on the materials of the sole and the tread pattern, like the tires of your car. Traction optimizes propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backward when going uphill, and stabilizes the boot. Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving the sole grip.

Which type of grip and traction does this boot provide?

Equipped with SNOWCONTACT soles, your boots are designed for maximum grip comfort for hiking and traction on snow. The location and height of the crampons (3 mm) are spaced strategically for optimal grip when hiking on snow. The surface and design of the studs are designed to perfectly grip the layer of hard snow and evacuate excess water to not slip.

How does the snowcontact technology used on the boot sole help me?

The SNOWCONTACT soles are made with a specific component and stud pattern that is designed to ensure the best possible grip and traction. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. When walking on ice, the only way to ensure optimum safety is to add anti-slip grips to your boots.

Will your boots withstand regular use over the long term?

Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to ensure that the product fully complies with your satisfaction in use. Our verifications include the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV-resistance, abrasion-resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated aging.

How to choose the right footwear for snow hiking

To be well equipped in winter, we recommend that you follow these principles: Warmth: warmth provided by a warm pair of socks (ideally containing a suitable percentage of wool) Breathability: Choose the sock according to the intensity of the hike and make sure you get a breathable model to limit moisture. Boot height: adjust the height of the sock to the height of the boot and preferably choose high models if want more protection.

How to preserve the technical qualities of my boots?

A fabric's water-repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm, and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. Products (spray or liquid) designed specifically for this purpose are available in our stores.

How does my product warranty work?

This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.
