High down/feather fill power
For this down jacket filled 85/15, the inflating power is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 660 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power (and a higher CUIN number) takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking:
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. Which makes your backpack lighter
*As part of our commitment to using responsible production methods, we have decided to work only with RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified suppliers. This certification guarantees that the down and feathers come from ducks and geese bred for their meat, and not subjected to cruelty. Care instructions for jackets containing down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the link below:
In case of rain
This down jacket fabric is water-repellent. It allows drops of water to roll over the fabric, which means it takes longer for water to penetrate the jacket, giving you time to get to shelter. But the jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over your down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
A score to compare products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators.
An overall score of ABCDE is calculated to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.).
For Decathlon, this initiative to display environmental data is a priority.

All our down jackets are laboratory tested with 3 mph wind, worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved t-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, enabling you to make the choice that best fits your use.

Store on a hanger in a clean and dry place
Great care must be taken when cleaning a down jacket. We recommend that you take it to a dry cleaner. Machine wash at 86°F; add 2 tennis balls to ventilate the down. Rinse twice. Tumble drying highly recommended: synthetic program with 3 tennis balls to ventilate the down; repeat the cycle several times until the down is completely dry, otherwise it will form clumps and lose its insulating properties. Please refer to the care instructions in the online fact sheet
