Having used these boots most days for 9 months for dog walks and hikes, the waterproofing is now non-existent in both boots. They are incredibly difficult to dry after becoming wet inside so it's a real hassle anytime I want to walk off the beaten path or in the rain. They took some breaking into and the lacing is onerous to take on and off, however they are comfy once wearing them. However, I can't recommend them due to the waterproofing failing so soon and this is the main reason I bought them.
Not liking these boots at all. Previously wore the Quechua MH500 for last two years which I thought were great. These are nowhere near as comfortable and supportive. They may be waterproof on the outside but my feet got totally soaked. They have a big synthetic tongue which seems to quickly wick moisture straight inside the boot. Very synthetic feel to the boot.
I wore the Trekking boots on a 8 mile Sunday morning walk, they were comfortable to wear and the sole and heel protected me from feeling the rocky and uneven ground.
I didn't know where to start when buying my first pair of hiking boots so I went straight for these after reading the description. I waited to review once I had really had experience with these boots so here's my thoughts on them; at first I found they had to be tightened and loosened to fit me perfectly but after that and breaking them in a bit with shorter walks I found they suited my needs on the harsher treks I had planned, I can confirm the waterproof element works fantastically, I accidentally stepped into a fairly deep puddle and found out first hand that these boots definitely keep you dry! All in all I'm very happy with these and would consider buying this brand again when I need to.
These boots are fantastic. I wear these boots everyday walking the dog through mud, puddles and wet grass and have never had wet feet and are v.comfy. Worth every penny
My height 6 weight 92 a muscular man but still it is heavy for me. Cant walk for 1-2 km in this damn thing. M using it on adv bike coz u can't trek or drive car while wearing these tyres. Rest u now the drill.

Trek shoes are always built with the intention of making the shoes with the best protection in terms of grip and the outer shell. Hence they are heavier than regular shoes.
Trek shoes are never recommended for the purpose and driving or riding since the design will never support the requirement and also might affect them counter wise.

I have been a fan of Columbia shoes all my life so its a must if you want under budget good hiking shoes for places where snow is less than half feet only plus it is actually good water as well . I am from manali so i have been walking all day just a suggestion always but half size bigger than your regular size and you it give you more feet space as you will be wearing thick socks during winter which help you to get much comfortable feet posture for walking i have used this pair to do hikes less than 4000 meter treks only for bigger treks not recommended as its grip is not good with black ice but as per price its a win win .

its good product ...and gives good comfort, i have read the reviews of feet pain...thats only because of size issue....for me it is good product and recomended...only problem is it slips in water, the rubber sole will not help to provide grip in water areas...
Recommended only for seasoned trekkers
Below average boots. Too heavy for a trek. Plus the waterproofing is not up to the mark.
Good product
I was on Uttarakhand belt, I climbed Panchachuli peaks base with these shoes, I felt like there are tires fitted under my feet's, I was able to climb fast, grip gave me a solid confidence to step on steep narrow openings on mountains, It was solid confidence after wearing these shoes, I was able to rule my team I was there guide climbing higher and higher.

This boot’s waterproof level
This boot has been tested and validated for 10,000 flexes repeatable, equivalent to a 15 km walk, in water reaching the mid-upper. This now guarantees a good level of boot waterproofing.--> Our assessment indicates a LEVEL OF 3/5 giving 6 hours of waterproofing when hiking in the rain. Make this boot’s waterproofing last longer
Even though this model has a membrane (waterproof, breathable), it is recommended you use a waterproof spray several times a year to restore the original water-repellent properties and prevent staining--> It revitalises the water-repellent properties of the outer material (water runs off the surface and doesn't soak in). Each fabric section is then sprayed and in particular the seams are not to be forgotten. (water loves the seams!)
