I've been wanting this jacket for a while, and finally bit the bullet and purchased it. No regrets at all. It may seem thicker and puffier than the Forclaz 100 synthetic down jacket I have (and love), but it's actually lighter and warmer, magic! I love the chest pocket, as my sunglasses fit in there (without being scratched) very easily, and the pockets are super warm. So glad to finally have this jacket! Size definitely runs small. I usually wear Small but bought a Medium and it fits snugly.
Good enough, but not great. I wouldn't trust it below 20F unless properly combined with a hard shell of some sort. The zipper is left-handed which is a bit odd for us in the US, and it's still a bit finicky, but I'm hoping it will get better with some use. The biggest issue for me is the sizing; I ordered a 2XL, which is my go-to size in jackets, coats, shirts, etc, and it's snug. Very snug in fact, in the armpit area and across my chest. I'm not a line-backer or body builder, but I AM full grown so to speak. At 6 feet even and around 230lbs, I would recommend others order up and get a 3XL.
Fits very well, extremly warm, comfy. I like the beautiful brown color. I highly recommend this jacket like all products from Decathlon. Very good FRENCH quality for the value.
I bought this jacket for my lightweight jacket coat. I like the color, fit and it has preform better than I hoped Decathlon if I would say anything it would pockets are way too small. First day I lost my lottery tickets. I can not put my IPhone in left chest pocket. This is relativity minor the zipper zips from wrong side here in the states. I feel this is a great coat.
I think this is a nice warm Jacket. The only real problem is pockets are too small. My IPhone will not fit in the chest phone pocket. Zipper zips on side traditionally for women’s coats or European coats.
Stitching, warmth, water resistance, fit, weight and style. Went through about 8 different jackets. Had no idea who this company was until I saw someone on YouTube with the 100. Justin outdoors I think. For $100 which seems very reasonable these days for down jacket, this turned out to be a seriously good deal. It is worth $100 for sure, I have spent more and got less. I am very impressed!
Bought this jacket for a winter trip to Europe. Packs down small and doesn't take up much space in luggage. Nice and warm and light too. I’m usually a large but XL is perfect for me.
Purchased this for my husband fit probably a little tight , quality good looks stylish and very warm would recommend this jacks , also purchased it on sale so extra good buy
I would normally take a medium, but bought a large, expecting sizing to be on the small side. It isn't ! I'd have been better off with a medium. That aside, quality is excellent, and it weighs nothing. I don't think you'd want to get it wet, so you'll need a waterproof shell if you want to wear it in the rain.

I am never the most generous when it comes to reviews but I can honestly say I happy with the coat. It has not stood the test of time yet so I cannot give it very good. In terms of the quality it is good and the fit for me is excellent. I would use decathlon again.

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of -10°C during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. Its comfort temperature is 0°C in this case.
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to ”trap” air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). Down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this down jacket with its 85% down and 15% feathers filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or more (international standard).
What is rds certification?
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organisation to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from geese and ducks raised for their meat and slaughtered before down and feathers are collected.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it during prolonged exposure to the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface, but this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Our advice: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch so the tear doesn’t get any bigger and the feathers escape. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some in-store Decathlon workshops offer a repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
