I am 5 ' 10" and 195lb. This merino long sleeve fits me perfect in size XL. It is close to your skin so can be used as base layer or mid layer. I haven't actually used it much yet so not sure about durability or temperature management but the garment appears to be good quality with nice stitching around, with soft feel.
Given the competition this garment seemed like a real value at $50. The workmanship and fabric quality was excellent. I had previously bought the orange merino hiking shirt and while I wear a US XL in Decathlon's sizing the 2XL fi . Which, as you might imagine, is the size I ordered. So why they sent me a men's Small I'll chalk up to bad luck. Maybe you'll have better.

I loved the way this top looked and the quality of it. It worked perfectly to keep me warm during my ski holiday, and I look forward to use it when walking too.
Bought as a base/mid layer to wear under a big woollen jumper, amongst other tops, great fit, clean design no problems so far. Although I've worn it several times I've not had the need to wash it yet, so that says something about the natural properties of Merino wool.
A good Merino top at a great price
As someone who has used Icebreaker and Arcteryx base layers before I can say that, for the price I'm blown away at the quality of this product. There not quite to the same level as IB or Arcteryx but for the money, I would say they are 90% there and that's saying a lot.

I wore the Trek 500 merino base layer on a 16 mile day hike, it performed very well, it wicked moisture away and was comfortable to wear, even though I was carrying a 40 litre back pack and it was a hot day.

Very happy with this T-Shirt. When using the sizing tool ensure you select tight for the right fit, when the merino sits right on your skin it works perfectly. The shirt it made of a great blend of merino wool and and a Polyamide, I love the design as the yoke of the shirt is actually made with more merino where it gets the sweatiest. Great zip to vent during exercise and a durable weave all around with tough seams. It is very comfortable to wear, enough length to tuck in, it insulates well and breathes superbly, anti microbial properties mean you can wear it longer than you should be comfortable with as the sweat evaporates whilst still insulating. Already bought a second one.

How did we improve the durability of our merino wool t-shirts?
We use a BETA-SPUN yarn structure, i.e. the merino wool fibers are coated with a fine sheath of polyamide filaments to protect them from rubbing and cuts, without affecting the properties of the wool.
Odor control
Wool from Merino sheep naturally controls the spread of bacteria that cause bad smells. This Merino wool T-shirt can therefore be wornseveral days in a row and means you can take less clothes when backpacking making for a lighter backpack!
Reducing the ”freezing effect”
After exercise and heavy sweating, Merino wool prevents evaporation helping to maintain body temperature by absorbing the majority of the body's moisture. This therefore reduces any unpleasant chilling effect.Conversely, a synthetic material lets the body temperature go back down again quicker.
Advice before use
To make the component feel softer, don't hesitate to wash your T-shirt before first use.
How to wash your merino wool t-shirt
We recommend that you machine wash your Merino wool T-shirt at 86°F on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Product testing
In November 2018, 8 trekkers (4 men and 4 women) and part of the Forclaz design team tested this T-shirt for 4 days in the Southern French Alps (Lus La Croix Haute). You can expect wind, rain, a bit of snow, a bivouac... and a lot of fun! We were then able to make the final modifications and validate it for mountain backpacking use.
