A cycling poncho is supposed to work like a mini-tent over the cyclist. It should cover the arms and go down over the handlebars out front, and cover the backside and go down over the saddle out back. This would result in a narrow front profile, but a wide side profile. This poncho is designed to do the opposite, effectively turning the cyclist wearing it into a sail mast with as wide a front profile as possible, the absolute last thing one would want while riding into a strong headwind and/or downpour. I bought this thinking that I could use the leg straps on my hands and achieve the desired profile, since the arm length seemed long enough to accommodate it, or at least so it seemed from the photo. Unfortunately - and this is not obvious from the photo – for some reason the designers decided to stich the poncho in such a way as to create separate arm openings. Had the stitching not been there, my idea would have worked. Again, a fundamental misunderstanding of what a poncho is in general. This is basically a big floppy jacket that could send a rider flying off their bike in a strong headwind and/or downpour. Avoid.

I'm a 168cm tall, slim woman and the XS/X should fit well and it actually does but without a backpack. With a backpack the sleeves are a bit short, they hardly cover my wrists, my gloves and cuffs all got wet, so not ideal for winter. If you usually carry a backpack then I'll recommend M/L or above.
Does what it should, folds up on itself for ease of transportation
Does a great job of keeping me dry while riding in the winter months

It is good even with backpack(30L). No need to buy another rain-cover for bag. The Velcro to secure during cycling help to keep it stay even with strong wind.

sehr hilfsbereit sehr sehr freundlich
gute Qualität hielt auch Starkregen statt. Decathlon muss aber vielleicht man erklären wie die Beinsicherung funktionieren soll. Nach Regen sofort trocknen!!

mido 1,76 cm de estatura, y compre la talla m/L y creo me quedo corto en la longitud de los brazos, al usar los strap para la mano genera tensión en el impermeable sobre el dorsal, para mi gusto debe quedar holgado, el material es delgado da la sensación de resistencia media pero es ventajoso por el peso y fácil de plegar, no he tenido la experiencia aun del probar su resistencia al rozar con arboles

Shape designed for cyclists
Loose fit so you can wear this poncho over your normal jacket and a 20-liter backpack. Unisex cut that covers you from head to knees. There are elastic bands to attach it to your hands and thighs.You can wear your helmet over or under the hood.Packs away into its cover: L 8.3” x H 10.4”x D 2”.
Waterproofing
The durability and coating of its fabric and sealed seams makes this poncho waterproof. The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in mm of a water jet (test based on standard ISO 811). Our material is resistant to the pressure from 2,000 mm of water. The finished product is approved in a shower test in the lab, where we recreate the conditions of an average downpour: 60 L water per square meter per hour for 2 hours.
Component breathability
Hydrophilic coating (RET = 12): limits condensation inside the garment. To determine a fabric's breathability we measure its evaporative resistance or RET (based on standard ISO11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric lets water vapor produced by the body escape, and the more breathable it is. For example: RET <9 = extremely breathable fabric. 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable fabric. 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric. RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric.
Product testing
100% watertight seams, tested in the lab. This product has passed a shower test under 60 L water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a downpour.
Storage instructions
Don't pack the product away when it is still wet as condensation may form, keeping the product damp. Leave your product to fully dry after use before packing it away.
