Can I be sure my jacket will protect me well in bad weather?
To help you deal with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the coach jacket has been developed with a component and an assembly that limits the sensation of wind.
What's the point of having a water-repellent jacket?
Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in thanks to a treatment that is applied to its exterior. The fabric does not become waterlogged, but stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the product’s lifespan, after 2 to 3 washes on average with the help of the products offered in our stores. All Decathlon Snowboard jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.
I often hear people talk about "coated" jackets. What are the advantages of this coating?
Coating is a water repellent material which is spread over the inner surface of the fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapor produced by an active body to escape. So you will stay dry and comfortable while hitting the slopes
How will my coach jacket keep me warm?
To keep you warm, we use padding insulation. The fill is a synthetic component made from polyester that stores more or less air, depending on the size of the fibers. The fill can be standard, hi-tech or siliconized, each with different properties (warmth, lightweight, supple, etc.).
What is a membrane and what's it for?
The membrane is a very fine component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry.
How will my coach jacket keep me warm?
We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm. The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibers used. There are different types of wadding, including standard, technical and siliconized, which all have different properties (for warmth, lightness and suppleness...)
What is a "breathable" jacket?
It’s the ski jacket’s ability to allow moisture produced during exercise to escape to the outside, keeping you dry. To find out if a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance, called RET (standardized test ISO 11092), is measured. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wedze uses technical components and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) preventing condensation inside the garment.
How should I dress to avoid feeling cold on the slopes?
In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 3 layers of fabric, each having a particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.
Where can I put my ski pass when taking ski lifts?
There is a hidden ski pass pocket on the waist line of the jacket
How can I be sure about the durability of my jacket?
We take particular care in choosing all the elements and assemblies that make up our products, to guarantee the best possible resistance. As snowboarders, we know the constraints of our products during snowboarding sessions!
Can I compare the products' environmental impact?
"The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. A score of A, B, C, D or E is made to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of a similar type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks).
For Decathlon, this initiative to display environmental data is a priority.

All Wed'ze products are designed and developed in the Mont Blanc Valley. They are then tested in conditions identical to their target use (snow, cold weather, powder etc.) Our design teams ensure that the product is fit for purpose and able to withstand real-life conditions.
