Product Customer Reviews

Love the control of the scooter bike. Although the road condition is different to my experience with smooth floor, it is still a good scooter bike for commute on the bike track to work for me.
Excellent roll!
This is a really great, sturdy scooter that offers a really comfortable and smooth ride with a pretty decent glide distance.
Good smooth sturdy ride
Very good sturdy scooter.
I bought this scooter to help with my mon-fri work commute. It has achieved this and more! I find myself also using the scooter on the weekend and with my young children (using the child carrier accessory) It is the perfect size to pack in the car and include as part of our family outings. The bearings in the wheels are quite good and give an excellent roll with each stride/scoot.
I work 8kms (~4miles) from home (admittedly further than the scooter is designed for but it works beautifully)! I didn't want to occupy the roads using a bicycle or an electric scooter but wanted something faster than walking. Not only has this scooter been perfectly suited for the commute with it's springs at front and back but it is also easliy stored at work, folding neatly in seconds and about 3x faster than walking! I absolutely adore this scooter! When it dies, will definitely invest in another! Reasons why it may die include the wheels taking a battering from the footpaths - after approx. 1 month of ownership and use my tyres have shown signs of wear and tear that I wasn't expecting so soon. The ride is also quite low, so when rasing onto a curb or going over a speed bump the bottom (especially where the back spring starts). It's an amazing feat of engineering and would love to see what the next model has in store for us! I adore the amount of exercise I get from the use of thisscooter - would highly recommend this scooter to anyone looking to get around! :D
Is a good scooter because is easy to use, super easy to fool. I think the bell is so bat (no good quality) I invite all people to buy one and enjoy the scooter.
This scooter is the best
I bought this to save the pressure on my knees. what a godsend. I love it. once you get some momentum going it can go a distance without pushing off again. gets me from a to b so much quicker than my little legs
Bought it recently and really enjoy it. Rolls-royce in affordable price ;) plus: Rolling really well Foldable Dual suspension Big enough wheels for (moderate) uneven and damaged surfsces Dual brake system at rear wheel drawbacks: Not good (wheel slipping) for sand covered patches (promenades on sea) Not easiest to fold at begining Bit heavy Handbrake not strongest one
A beautiful scooter with genius suspension. I really wanted to love it but when the handlebars are extended Into place there is a terrible amount of play in them. I compared to another one in store and they too had this play. Other cheaper models were tight as a drum so it was quite unfortunate to find this design flaw in the higher end model. Attempted to secure it by adjusting the screws and components but it made no difference. It’s very rare I’ll rate a product with such a low score but for the price you’d be expect better.
I used this a lot for commuting to work so have had a lot of experience using it. For going up hills, it's difficult. However, on flat concrete it glides very well. Pros -High quality build -High handlebar -Very responsive brakes -Folding mechanism makes it suitable for storage Cons -Heavy -Not good for trails
I have an 8km relatively flat round commute each day into the city. I was about to buy an electric scooter when I discovered they're actually illegal for public use and can land you a fine and 6 points on your driving license. After some research I decided to go for this kick scooter as they're allowed on pavements if used responsibly. I went for this model for the dual suspension and it's been worth every penny. I've taken it to work each day in all sorts of weather and surfaces. It's halved my commute time and is way more fun than walking. When I get to the office it folds quickly without getting my hands dirty and can be stored under my desk.
Good quality!

Are there any particular safety precautions to take when using the town 9 scooter?
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering. Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: so spend time learning the basics so that you can control your speed and brake in emergency situations in all weather conditions. Stop use when the ground becomes slippery.
How do you fold/unfold the scooter?
quick to fold and unfold without your hands! This is the Easyfold design. What's the trick? Simply stand opposite your scooter with the frame straight in front of you and press the pedal, and your Town 9 is folded in less time than it took you to read these instructions. Just as easy for the handles. Just push the buttons to fold them. And unfold the handles in a single movement!
Is the oxelo town 9 scooter suited to long journeys around town (1.25 to 3 miles)?
Yes! The rubber grip on the deck and the ultra-comfy ergonomic handles with palm rests help reduce vibrations for a more pleasant ride. The TOWN 9 adult scooter also has a bell so that you can make yourself heard. Last but not least, the handlebar is slightly forward for better steering control.
What is the glide performance of the oxelo town 9 scooter?
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm HIGH BOUNCE PU rubber wheels for high-performance scootering. A large wheel makes it easier to build up speed with minimum effort. The ABEC 7 bearings are very high quality and, by making it easier for you to push yourself along, limit fatigue.
How much does the town 9 scooter weigh?
7.4 lbs, making it easy to move in "trolley" mode: fold it up and drag it along like a suitcase.
What is the maximum weight the town 9 scooter can take?
220 lbs.
What safety precautions should you take with the town 9 scooter?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges.
What should you do if there's play in the handlebar?
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
How are our products tested?
All of our scooters have been lab-tested. These tests check compliance with the European standards for scooters, as well as looking for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
How should you maintain your scooter?
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them occasionally and change them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.
