Good pads

Awesome pads, use on my gravel bike as.a replacement of the shimano, 3 time cheaper. I do long ride, and did lots of difficult trails with really steep trails and didn't felt unsafe.

Good Alternative to stock pads

Replace my Shimano L03A with them, although it has no heat sink fins, stopping power feels pretty much the same as stock. The only down side is they are much nosier than the Shimano pads. Don't know about the longevity, but it is only 1/3 of the cost of Shimano pads.

Brilliant

I never gonna change brand they're brilliant last over 120% longer than original pads I bought one set nearly year ago last 3400 miles

Replacement

Having used these before I’d no hesitation in using them to replace my previous purchase which served me well over the last 12-18 months

I don't know

every time I come with my bike worth £ 1200 to change my brakes I encounter a problem. I changed the brakes three times. I entrusted the bike to the decathlon specialists and every time I didn't find the problem ... An extraordinarily loud noise, as if I'm walking without a tire ... when I press the brakes I have a big noise ... I try to explain to them that it can also change the discs ... they said they don't need to be changed ... it's really a problem in the specialist or in these brakes This year I covered 5,100 miles.

Hi Alexandra, I'm really sorry to hear that you have had issues with your bike brakes, it can be the discs are contaminated, however it can also be due to the marterial of the pads and the ones that the discs are deisgned for. For example when I changed my discs from tektro to Shimano, Shimano recommend that I use an organic pad with their disc, when I dind't change my metallic pad striaght away I had a really loud noise.

Can you contact me directly at marc.cuckson@decathlon.com and I can take a look over the discs for you?

Thanks for your patience

Easy to install, perform well

Installed onto TRP Spyre disc brake calipers. Once the brake pads are bedded in they perform well. One tip is apply a small amount of copper grease on the back of the brake pad and caliper piston using a cotton bud and being careful to avoid contact with the brake pad material or disc rotor. This tip makes the brakes very quiet under heavy braking loads and no squealing. Of course if you don't mind brake noise, then just install the pads in bedded process as normal.

Used on Riverside 500

Used on my Riverside 500 - the brakes are Tektro TKD 68 but I couldn't find replacement pads for these listed on any of the descriptions on the Decathlon site. They fit and have significantly improved the braking. They don't come with the small metal pin used to holding them into the brake mechanism, so don't lose the existing one.

Replacement pads .

Bought these for spares over the winter , but have used before and Can not fault them . Bed in quickly.

Breaking in the pads: essential before starting your ride

You should try braking quickly a few times on a dry, flat, obstacle-free surface. 3 or 4 sets of 10 dry, intermittent stops are enough to break in your pads. Dry braking will wear down the pad a bit.Release your brakes for a few dozen seconds between each set of stops in order to let them decrease in temperature before starting a new series of 10.

Be careful of glazing

If the problem persists despite several short, dry stops, lightly rub your brake pads with sandpaper.
