Mountain bike gloves

Poor quality. Holes appeared after about 4 rides maybe ok for road riding but definitely not good for MTB

Hi Wayne,

Apologies for a late response. We have been slowly clearing up our backlog but I would like to assure you that we will be answering/resolving ALL our customer issues. We thank you for being patient with us!

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience with our mountain bike gloves. Our engineers have designed the seams to be tear resistant and the fabric on the back of the hand to hold up to vegetation. Could you provide some more information on where the holes have appeared so that we can feed back to the design team? Additionally, if you can bring the product to a store our team can check it and organise an exchange or refund for you.

Hope this helps!

Good quality gloves

These gloves are nice and I have been using them since 1 month now.. I like Decathlon alot. But I would really appreciate if you guys can get more locally sourced products. Almost 80% of the products are made in China

Mountain biking gloves

Very comfortable to use

These gloves were described as being touchscreen compatible but they didn’t work for me on my iPhone. As this was the sole reason for my purchase, I’m somewhat disappointed. So if this is an important feature for you, don’t buy.

Good product, but not as good as it was

I had a previous pair of these when they were labelled as BTWin gloves (half the price!). They lasted a good few years before a few holes started to appear. These one's are virtually the same apart form adding the touchscreen ability (works better than most do!) while removing the velcro straps that previously reached down over the wrist. I think the change from velcro to the elastic type design used now is a negative; they extend less over the wrist and don't give the support the previous design did. All in all, still a good glove, though the price could be lower.

Not smartphone compatible

Delighted to receive these from Santa, and they looked and felt good but really disappointed that the supposed smartphone compatibility does not work on my iPhone

Rockrider gloves

Bought these gloves to go with the rockrider mountain bike, comfy and good quality for the money, my grandson loves them.

Very little durability

Had a pair of the previous design that lasted a good while (especially considering I can be rather hard on gloves). This new pair developed holes in the fabric covering the palm by the 3rd ride. Now have several splits in both gloves - not the usual quality I expect from Decathlon.

Thank you for your feedback regarding these gloves.
Indeed, it does seem that they have certainly worn our prematurely.
Please don't hesitate to return them to store for a refund or a replacement pair.

Smart mtb gloves: 2 press studs

The press studs let you keep the right and left hands together. Why? To hang them on your handlebars so that you can finish packing your hydration backpack. To clip them to our new ST 500 shorts when taking a break. To never have to look for that missing glove out of the wash or in the drawer. Clever, don't you think?

Why wear mountain biking gloves in summer?

Mountain biking gloves are important for your safety all year round. Keeping your hands covered all the way to the fingertips is key to preventing scratches from vegetation, especially in the forest or on singletracks. What's even more important, when you fall, is that your reflex is to put your hands out to cushion yourself. Mountain biking gloves keep your hands from getting scratched and cut. Gloves are also there to dampen vibrations when riding.

A variety of fabrics

Our engineers and designers closely studied the hand's contact points when mountain biking. They have chosen: - a material on the back of the hand that withstands vegetation. - a material on the palm that grips the handlebars well. - silicone bands to grip the brakes (on 3 fingers, because that's all you need to brake). They have also padded certain contact areas such as the palm, and improved ventilation.

Smartphone compatible

These ST 500 gloves are smartphone compatible. You can track your GPS routes, use your apps or take photos at any time with the touchscreen-friendly fabric on the fingertips.

Durable seams

The seams have been specially designed to be more resistant to tearing.

Terry cloth for perspiration

Because mountain bikers perspire as much as tennis players, a small section of the thumb is made of terry cloth. It also comes in handy for runny noses.

Product testing

Our engineers always have real riders test all our products in real conditions. These tests round out our lab tests and let us validate all our products before they hit store shelves.

Storage instructions

Use the 2 press studs to keep them together.
