Not bought for climbing but for general outdoor use. I've had it 2 weeks and hardly taken it off. So comfortable and light. Great for my tall slim frame.
Really good jacket for that extra warmth without feeling bulky. Especially like the underarm areas which are less padded/ventilted
Warm enough to ware it on its own but exelent part for layering system on the way to the summit
Great price, some really nice features like the face mask nice and warm, but packs small.
used for nordic skiing in temperatures down to minus 11 wetted out under backpack sweat but remained warm and windproof , very comfortable to wear . My only bad criticism is that it is a bit on the slim fitting side around the torso
Great lightweight and wind proof layer to wear on climbs as well as a ski touring outer layer for clear cold days. Recommended and great value!
I’m very happy with this jacket. I wanted a lightweight but warm jacket for my morning winter commutes and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s surprisingly warm considering it’s weight and thickness but breathable enough that I don’t overheat on the tube. Planning on using this as a winter hiking jacket too and I’m confident that it’ll be a ideal for this.
Great jacket even if on the slim fit side. Comfortable
I'm genuinely impressed with this. Although obviously not as warm as my more expensive Rab Alpine down jacket I haven't used my Rab jacket since I bought this one! The build quality isn't on par but still seems very reasonable. The design is a lot better, hence why this will now be my go-to jacket for all but harsh winter.
Despite previous review I thought the size was spot on at large (im 178cm and 78kg) and it fitted perfectly. Nicely made . Was a little surprised how thin it was on the sleeves and hood, but still feels warm
XL is more sized M-L. Makes no sense whatsoever to have to remove the jacket to put the facemask on (it slips over the head).
The two way zip makes harness work easier. Lightweight materials with stretch fabric allow the jacket to move with you while climbing instead of against you. Padding adds warmth without overheating during activities with the added benefit of a face mask and hood for more extreme windy conditions. I really rate the Simond Sprint Hybrid and love the price tag compared with other brands.

These fabric components are positioned in parts of jacket where they are needed. Warmth is provided by 3.5 oz/sqm padding on chest, back and upper arms. A softshell component is positioned on the forearms and lower part of jacket to protect areas in contact with harness and rock face. Freedom of movement and thermal regulation are provided by thin stretch fleece under arms and on back.
Bi-material softshell hood is combined with a scarf for when you are cold or when there is too much wind. It is mainly worn under the helmet but can easily be worn over it thanks to its highly elasticated softshell fabric component.
2-way front zipper gives easy access to harness tie-in loop. Snap fastener added to jacket bottom to close it when zipper is pulled up. Inner zip pocket for storage
