Fantastic product at a great price amazing value

Great for commuting to school, enough gears for climbing small hills, light weight, came equipped with bottle cage, lights and a bell. Although it says women's bike, it is essentially unisex bike.

Great bike!

this is a great bike, very comfortable to ride (both the seat and the overall design of the bike). It feels sturdy and not too heavy. It is also pretty :) breaks work well and I have not faced any issues.

Great entry level road bike

Exactly what I was looking for. The bike comes with a bell and 2 lights. The gear shifting is smooth. It's light and fast. I was using a leisure bike previously, which was upwards of 45lbs, making 20km rides difficult. I can now go for 30km+ with ease. The only limiting factor is the rock hard seat, which can be mostly mediated by padded shorts or gel cover. I 100% recommend this bike to anyone wanting to try a road bike.

Really good bike for price

Really happy with it! Its a good bike if you know how to ride a bike do not thibk this a beginners bike! It is a beginners ROAD bike! If you know how to ride it will be a really good and fun experience! Not sure about the size recs though - i use an M comfortably and am 5”2(160cm)

It's all right you know

We bought this for my wife so she could get into cycling, and then triathlon. This is a great entry level bike, offering great balance and durability for the roads in our local area.

Poor brakes

Bike looks great, feels nice to ride around etc and quick nippy if you aren’t used to ride bikes. HOWEVER Just want to reiterate other comments… good bike if you are riding on flat ground but pretty dangerous elsewhere. Breaks are terrible, spent a week in the Peak District and it destroyed my hands as it’s so painful having to put so much pressure on to slow down . I would say good bike otherwise but string good breaks on a bike are a pretty big must out there !!! Also when I first bought the bike they hadn’t screwed the handlebars on properly and so when I was going downhill the whole front fell forwards - so dangerous as I was on a busy street and could easily have gone over. So please check this when you buy.

Very happy with the bike

Purchased it as my first road bike. Went with getting it online rather than in store and chose to have it delivered home. It came very quickly, probably within 2 days, and almost everything was perfect! The only thing that needed fixing was one of the break pads just needed slight adjustment as it wasn't parallel to the wheel, but that was a very quick job. I personally have no issue with breaks. Bike feels well built and rides really well, it's very responsive and light, also no squeaks and rattles. I got hang of shifting very quickly as well as different position compared to straight handlebar. I now find it much more comfortable. I definitely needed at least 3-4 rides to get used to the saddle (with padded shorts), mostly due to not having cycled for at least 2 years, but now I find it comfortable. I'd say it's great value for money, and a very pleasant bike to ride!

brakes too big for hands

I bought an extra small, because i am an extra small woman - and cant use the breaks on the stem. I can just touch them with my middle finger but can not get enough force to squeeze them so they actually slow the bike. Typically extra small women have extra small hands- so i dont know why this was not taken into consideration. Especially as ive used other womens road bike belonging to friends and the breaks are smaller. The issue is the bulk of the break hood- too big to get my hand around . If cycling on the drop bars- i can reach the levers, but as a "starter" road bike and on the entry level price range- I doubt many of use are racers and have no reason to be hunched into the drop bar position . I have to cycle in the center position with my hands as if on a flat handlebar which i dont want... My bike is around 9 months old- IF decathlon could sell a replacement smaller break set (or even offer it as part of customer care seeing as many small women seem to have this problem) - this would be great!

Shocking brakes

The brake levers on this bike require a degree of force that I am unable to exert. I’ve tried different options but, frankly, with hands typical for my size and gender the brake levers are badly positioned. The centre brakes feel dangerous as I would have to move my hands into the centre of the bike, seriously reducing control of the steering. I bought this as a first road bike, and want to like it but the overall experience has been soured by the brakes. It’s now lying unused in my shed, since it feels positively unsafe for me to use. I took the bike back to a decathlon store, but they were unable to make any adjustments.

Brakes are a nightmare

Bike is good in all other aspects but the breaks are a nightmare to use. After the first time riding it for 20 mins my hand are aching as the levers are too far away from the handlebars and cannot be reached comfortably. If this wasn't a problem I would 100% recommend this bike but as breaks are the most important part I'm not sure I would.

Exactly on the packet

Good value for money first bike. Lovely sleek design, very light and well made. The one qualm is the same as a lot of comments. The brakes are no good, you have to brake way earlier than when you want to stop so if you need to do an emergency stop it's no good. I love it personally, great beginner bike overall!

Okay.

As a beginner I was excited to find a road bike which had 'normal breaks' in the middle of handle bars (I was a bit nervous leaning over the handle bars). However these breaks are too close together so I feel unstable using them. The main breaks are very stiff so are difficult to press making it hard to stop quickly/hurts hands after a while (on a few occasions this has meant i have nearly cycled into the back of someone). Customer service in store was very poor I asked the store assistant to help fit me to the bike and he said everything looked okay (I couldn't even reach the saddle at this point). When I asked him to lower the seat he was uninterested and didn't respond when I asked for his opinion on sizing after making him adjust it. I returned to the store about the breaks being too stiff and was told by a member of staff that there is nothing that can be done and my hands were too small (the bike is XS and I am 5ft4 so I am not unusually small...). Besides that the bike is very good. It is lightweight and very comfortable. I think it is great value for money and would recommend to someone provided breaks are improved.

Very good customer service and a lovely bike

I got this bike from the store in Oxford. Their customer service is absolutely brilliant. It's a great lightweight bike, I'm very excited about cycling in lockdown.

Bought for my partner who absolutely loves it. Decent spec for a start out bike. Staff in store superb on collection, friendly and helpful.
