Unexpected quality from decathlon

For a Decathlon bike, it's unexpectedly good

icon-circle-checkmark verified purchase
a very ok bike

the child has only been using it for a short time but it looks like an excellent bike

good product

a bike with very good cushioning, ideal for woods and country paths

Good bike, poor preparation service

It's an excellent bike, especially for this price, well equipped etc. BUT, precisely for this price, we can expect to receive a bike pampered by the preparer, well expect a few surprises and check your bike carefully before going to ride... I received my bike with the rear tire upside down, yet there are big arrows on the sidewalls of the tires to indicate the direction. The derailleur only passes 9 speeds on the entire cassette so a good adjustment is required and of course, Decathlon does not provide you with the small SRAM adjustment plate normally supplied with the derailleur to adjust it, fortunately the bike dealer has it listed. from my place is nice and lent me one. No documentation is provided to know the operation of the rear shock absorber, which is branded but whose model does not appear on the Manitou website so no online doc. In short, an excellent bike for its price but a service from Decathlon which is absolutely not up to par.

Great

Excellent bike, good road holding and good pedaling

Awesome bike, especially for the price!

I have had 6 mountain bikes to date; this is #7 and by far the best. I am enjoying singletrack like never before. I bought my AM100S in Spring of 2020 so have had almost 4 seasons of riding and find it fast and stable on downhils and yet it climbs nicely too. I was worried when I bought it so kept my hardtail for a year, but never wanted to ride it again so sold it. Absolutely no regrets!

Unbeatable value for money

After almost 4 months of use I can say that the geometry is excellent, the frame and forks work very well, especially in fast mixed terrain. The bike rides really well, and is very agile, absolutely in line with rivals like the stumpjumper (the only bike I've tested intensely). Fork and shock work very well in unison, and lock up making the bike very pedalable. The telescopic seat post has a very wide travel, I'm 1.88 and with the travel it has on the XL I can have a really aggressive climbing position. The gearbox goes as expected, it does its job, but sometimes, especially if it collects dirt, it has indecisions, I recommend keeping it well cleaned and lubricated. The only not too positive note is the brakes: the power isn't much, in reality they've never given me any problems, but at the same time they don't give too much safety if I'm honest, I often find myself clamping more than I did with other bicycles, definitely Shimano equivalent brakes are better. In general the value for money is truly excellent, I was positively impressed by the bicycle which costs at least €1000 less than its rivals with the same assembly, highly recommended!

Good mountain bike

Good mountain biking, nice little outings. This must be done at 29 inches. Downside tires that don't grip at all, really a shame and disappointed for a mountain bike at this price and BOF plastic pedals!

the bike is at…

the bike is at the top, especially in terms of its quality-price ratio. The only criticism I could make is the support that you can get on this type of product is almost non-existent, particularly on the adjustment of the suspension without documentation and without explanation. from the seller which currently puts me in a quandary to adjust this suspension as best as possible

It broke after 2 days and I left with it in my hand

I do not recommend it for enduro dh, etc. because it is very weak and does not last

Great equipment 9/10

In early August, I hit a year of use. During this time (on this bike) done about 6000 km. Mainly forests, gravel, because I'm from Mazovia, but also singles made in the vicinity of Kłodzko, Romanian Carpathians, Świętokrzyskie Mountains, Podlasie, etc... Equipment not upgraded, treated mercilessly. And what? Championship! The suspension absorbs the uneven ground properly, the equipment sticks to the butt. SRAM does it. Nothing knocks, nothing creaks after more than a year. All you need to do is clean, lubricate, care after a trip. When I hear that some of my colleagues have equipment from 20,000 reputable companies, I feel sorry for them. I would buy it a second time.. Minus for weak brakes.. I will watch Rockrider, maybe in a few years e-full. For now, despite 50 on my neck, I'm pushing without boosters. As long as possible :)

Great satisfaction

After a year of craziness and having driven approx. 2000 km on this bike, I have to give up, the bike can withstand almost anything (several heavy falls in Rokytnice). Modifications to the bike, only wider 2.40 tires and a larger 34 tooth derailleur, the bike still works as it should, thumbs up.

Good value for money bike

Banana on the face

Good morning, I am writing this opinion for people who are thinking about their first fully suspended bike 😁. He has been using it for about 2 months now, he has traveled slightly over 2,000 km with me. But from the beginning ... I was looking for a trail bike that would allow me to fly efficiently in the nearby forests, but also to jump into the mountains without any complexes (Białko Biała and the Beskids in general). I am 180 cm tall and I measured myself to size M and L. There is a clear difference between M and L related to the size of the wheel 27.5 in the M frame and 29 in the L frame. I chose size L because I felt a lot confident on it. The price of the bike in relation to the components is sensational. The suspension is tuned very well. The only thing I recommend is to immediately replace the brake pads with metallic ones because the resin ones installed in series are insufficient at my weight of 69 kg. Also, at the start, it won't hurt to do a zero service of the shock absorbers because the producers are very stingy with oil ... (standard). Initially, there were problems with the adjustment of the rear derailleur, but after the time when the drive arrived, we managed to do it. The Sram SX is not sensational, it will have a moment of delay and with larger inequalities it is audible that due to its weaker spring compared to higher models or competitive deore, slx, etc. To sum up, if you are looking for a good and correct trail bike, it is really worth it. Being aware of these few minor shortcomings that can be corrected over time, it is a bike that gives a lot of fun to ride.

fantastic bike

Very good bike for the price. I'm quite satisfied, I've done 100 km on bumpy roads and no noise or looseness. 5*
