Bought this as for morale booster for my P1 child as he wanted to take up rugby as his CCA. Receiving hands will always be happier than giving hands. I don't know much about rugby but I like the easy grip feel.

Indeed the R300 Size 4 Rugby Ball is a great starter ball for younger rugby players. As a beginner, kids will need a ball that's easy to handle - light and grippy - just like our 100 and 300 series. The easy grip feel helps younger players to get used to passing and receiving in the beautiful game. Moving forward, if your child trains or plays matches regularly and at a more competitive level, you might like to check out our 500 and 900 series! excellent ball both for passing and kicking
Good quality for a practice ball. Grippy and seams pretty flat and for the money a great buy. Have bought a size 3 as well for my son. Be aware that different colours denote different sizes as not totally clear on site. Very pleased.
ball itself is fine....it was very hard though, overinflated.
Wasn't stitched very well, soon came apart and didn't feel fully blown up.
Good quality, kids like it, great value.

After 1 day throwing in the park, wich was great, empty. When i squeezed the ball i noticed air escaping from the sides.

Technical details
Not all of our balls are made in the same way. A ball's panels can be machine-stitched or hand-stitched. The entire 100 range is machine stitched. This helps make it possible to provide you with a ball that is excellent value-for-money. In our 300 and higher ranges, all the balls are hand stitched. This ensures better resistance to wear, better shape retention, and improved performance (grip and especially trajectory).
A ball designed for playing regularly.
This ball is ideal for regular use (training and matches). It will continue to be well suited to players as they learn to pass and catch, and get started with kicks. Its density helps trajectories hold when kicked by young players (ages 10-14). It is hand-stitched, ensuring lasting resistance to wear. The quality bladder ensures it holds air pressure longer.
World rugby standards.
All of our balls comply with World Rugby regulations for match use. Ball weight: 14.5 oz. Inflate to 0.7 bar. Inflation instructions are listed on the ball itself.

There are different sizes of ball available. For younger children (aged 5 to 9), choose a size 3 ball; it is lighter and easier to handle. For children ages 10 to 14, go for a size 4 ball. For those ages 14 and up, choose a size 5 ball. For your convenience, the size is written on the ball.

They help us improve our balls by getting involved at every stage of the design process, and by validating them during tests that reproduce real-life playing conditions.

Tested by our partner club and rugby school (OMR: Olympique Marcquois Rugby). To ensure good grip and a long-lasting ball, we recommend brushing the ball regularly to remove any mud, especially in winter.
