Product Customer Reviews

First I had to send mine back and order 4 sizes larger than what I normally have. On my first ride (maybe 30 minutes) I used more than half the break. Must be the cheapest quality there is because you could literally peel the rubber off with your fingers.
I love love love my rollerblades. Comfortable and a reasonable price
Love the service i got from Decathlon, online shopping with them is a real peace of mind
Love rollerblading with my son!
My very first roller blade. Love it!
The buckle was hard to operate at first and I had to get used to it. It's just not the traditional one I was used to. Unfortunately due to lockdown I haven't been able to use them as much as I'd like
Great fit, comfortable and smooth ride
The boots fit well and are comfortable and while it’s a hassle tying the shoelace the only thing that works well is the Velcro strap – the top faster around the ankle is difficult to engage and often comes un done
Ive tried it before and im about to get another pair since mine broke (with a hammer) but it has amazing quality
These were a gift for my son and he loves them. Can’t wait to get to the skating rink as often as he can.
GreT skates and great customer service
good fit - I went a size larger and there is a bit of room but not too much
A nice pair of skates and they are very comfy. I ordered a size 8 which is my shoe size and going by the online size guide but they are a very tight fit, So i would recommend getting a half a size bigger or even an whole size bigger. Do these comes in a size 9? Thanks
My first ever pair of rollerskates, good for a skate or simple commute to/from a destination (though definitely not for regular commutes as all rollerskates are very bulky). The wheels do have a bit of drag as you're going along, so it feels like you're decelerating rather quickly when you're not thrusting, though I guess this might be down to high expectations. Other reviews have said the skates have worn quite quickly, mine have too after 6 months, but the wear is only superficial, the function is still fine. The only negative point is the straps which secure the skates to your lower shin are weak and prone to releasing during use, meaning sometimes you have to stop mid-skate to re-strap them. Tip: buy a size that's 0.5 or 1 above your regular shoe size. I bought the same size as my regular shoe size and it was a wee bit too small. Overall, good choice for beginners, decent price compared to competitors, would recommend.
After ordering a first pair that was too small (when I had used the size calculator), I ordered an even bigger size and it was still too small.

How do they stay comfy and fitted?
The semi-soft boot with 3D mesh is comfortable and stops too much moisture building up inside the skate. The new comfort foam and heel cushioning also make life more pleasant. The cuff (the part of the boot that comes up your leg) is stiff and comes far enough up to hold your ankle in place. Along with the triple fastening system (laces, micro metric buckle, and strap), it holds your ankle snugly.
Do you need to choose between glide quality and handling?
No, not with Oxelo. Decathlon's Fit 500 inline skates glide along really nicely with their aluminum frame (stiffer than a plastic frame transfers the skater's energy very well), ABEC 7 bearings, and new 80 mm rubber wheels (80 A hardness to give you more grip and comfort). The combination of the aluminum frame and the 80 mm rubber wheels gives you a good balance between pushing and glide quality. The frame can also take 84 mm wheels.
How can you maintain/repair your skates?
You can replace parts or repair your skates using the after-sales parts available in store, online, and at your local Decathlon store's workshop. The parts you can change are the 80 mm 80A or 80 mm 84A wheels and the ABEC 7 or ABEC 9 bearings. The brake support is adaptable on both feet.
How can you make your skates last longer?
To extend the lifespan of your skates, after skating through water, dust, or sand, take the wheels off, dry them, and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth. Find our advice and tutorials on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/oxelo/videos
How can you make the wheels last longer?
It's normal to switch your wheels around because they don't wear out evenly. The reason? We often skate with our feet sloping slightly inward when we push off and turn. If you want to stop them from wearing out, switch your wheels around (in pairs).
What is the maximum weight for these oxelo fit 500 skates?
These adult skates meet the EN 13843 class A standard (adult inline skate standard). This standard applies to "Roller sports equipment - inline skates" designed for a person weighing between 45 lbs and 220 lbs. This European standard defines the safety requirements and the specifications for the test methods, markings, and information provided by the manufacturer, with the aim of reducing the risk of injury.
How much do the oxelo fit 500 skates weigh?
6.2 lbs per pair in size 9½.
How are our products tested?
All of our skates have been lab-tested. These tests validate their compliance with the European standards for skates, as well as their resistance to wear. As well as lab tests, we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
