It worked so well that I bought a second one.

I bought an "ergonomic trekking pole MT100" during the special offer, and took it with me for a long walk on the high island together with another "2D straight grip tenon-type adjustable trekking pole". At first I was not very used to ergonomic grips, but when I went downhill, I really felt that ergonomic grips were useful, because compared to ordinary straight grips, ergonomic grips can be held firmly with the palm of your hand for support. The point will fall close to the wrist, so if you have to rely on your hands to support the center of gravity when going downhill, the stability will be greatly improved; with a general straight grip, the support point will fall on the palm of the hand. When supporting the weight, not only the wrist will be burdened, but It also shakes easily. At the same time, use different trekking poles with both hands, and deliberately put your whole body weight on them when going downhill. You can clearly feel the advantages of the ergonomic grip. Not only does the stability greatly increase, it also reduces the psychological burden when going downhill. The important thing is that because the hands can better support the weight, the pressure on the knees when going downhill is relatively reduced. The knee discomfort on the downhill has also been greatly reduced, which is really amazing! After getting off Takashima for a long walk, I bought a second "ergonomic trekking pole MT100". With two ergonomic trekking poles, I actually walked the Xiakaro Ancient Trail and stopped at the Baishi Suspension Bridge and Baishi Residential Office. On the steep climbs and descents in the middle, you can feel the stability brought by the ergonomic grip. Especially when going downhill, the center of gravity is more stable and there is no discomfort in the knees. The most important thing is that there is a two-year warranty!

Ergonomic trekking poles

It looks like a walking stick, but it is very comfortable to use (it has been used in Taoshan and Qilai Nanhua). If you don’t mind what outsiders think, this product is highly recommended.

Baton

The concept of the baton of the hand, number 10, is very nice, especially the sloping terrain is great.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Shaft: 100.0% Aluminium ; Handle: 100.0% Polyurethane

How it was designed...

Fully designed and validated by our team. This model uses the chassis of the A200. It retains the push-pin adjustment system and oversized tubes. Why do we offer this grip that is held from above? We have noticed that the standard grip does not suit everyone, particularly for long periods. We therefore designed this pole slightly differently so that you do not have to bend your wrist and can spread the force more evenly in the arm as it is aligned with the pole.

How to adjust your poles to the correct length?

The adjustment is not the same as for a conventional pole: the arm along the body must be almost straight or slightly bent. It is therefore shorter than a conventional pole.To adjust the length: press the button to release it from the hole, slide the tube until the button reaches the hole at the desired length. Use the line printed on the lower tube to align the button with the holes.Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.

Directions for use

These hiking poles are designed to help you balance, propel yourself and spread the effort between the arms and legs.To increase safety, check your pole's locking mechanism by pressing down hard on it before you start and at regular intervals.Do not attach to your backpack in stormy weather.

Care instructions

Maintaining your poles properly enables you to maintain optimal function and increase their lifespan. After use, if water has got into the pole, take the parts apart and allow to dry. Clean any dust and mud with water or without, with a soft brush or paintbrush.Once dry, you can reassemble the parts. We recommend that you do not try to oil or grease them.

Why are the poles sold individually?

At Decathlon, we decided to sell our hiking/backpacking poles individually. On the one hand, for usage reasons. Some people only want to use one pole. This therefore meets their needs. On the other hand, if one of your poles breaks, this means you only have to buy one and not a complete pair.

Product testing

To set our thresholds, we have measured the stresses on the poles in the most demanding situations.During the design stage, each model undergoes laboratory tests that reproduce these stresses (compression, bending in 3 places; etc.) until it breaks. We also test parts separately (tightening power, tearing, etc.).Finally, these tests are regularly repeated during production to guarantee consistent level of quality.

Storage instructions

Store the poles without tightening the adjustment system to reduce the stresses on the system and protect their tightening power.Store poles in a dry place.
