Wedze Warm Fit, Downhill Skiing Gloves

All Wedze gloves have a water-repellent treatment that means their fabric does not absorb water, but instead ensures it slides across the surface. This means the fabric does not become saturated with water. It remains light and warm. A fabric becomes water-repellent thanks to a treatment applied to its outer surface. To remain effective, this treatment must be renewed every 2 to 3 washes with specific products that are available in our stores.

All Wedze gloves are windproof. Did you know that wind makes you feel colder? With an outside temperature of 32°F and a wind speed of 12 mph, the temperature feels like 14°F. Windproof fabrics limit windchill and cold caused by the speed of the sport.

It reflects how easily you can handle objects while wearing the glove. All our gloves are given a dexterity score on a scale of 1 to 5 as part of a field test. Gloves with a dexterity score of 5 allow you to handle objects just as you would with bare hands. To give our gloves a dexterity score, we tested how well we could remove and put on ski goggles, adjust the hooks on a ski boot and open and close a jacket.

To test if a fabric is breathable, you measure its evaporative resistance, known as RET (ISO 11092 standard). It is its ability to wick away the vapor produced by the body during physical exercise and prevent water from accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wedze uses technical components and solutions to reduce condensation inside the gloves.

We take particular care in choosing all the elements used in our products. The durable materials and sturdy assemblies are tested during the highly instructive testing days! In particular, our pants are all equipped with edge protection panels at the ankles to minimize any damage to the pants from the ski edges.

All the Wed’ze gloves are “wind-proof”. Did you know that wind makes you feel colder? With an outside temperature of 32°F and a wind speed of 12mph, the apparent temperature will be 14°F. The "wind proof" components reduce the wind chill due to the wind or relative speed of the sporting activity.

Wedze gloves and mittens are tested in the real conditions of use for which they were designed: snow, cold and all other conditions related to skiing. The design teams ensure that the program for which the product was designed and developed perfectly matches its use in the field.
