Bon rapport qualité-prix et joli design
Skieur débutant ces skis sont parfaits pour moi : ils n'ont rien à envier aux skis de locations. Un bon fartage avant la première utilisation et ça glisse... Petit bémol : un flexor s'est détaché et n'est ni pris en charge par le SAV ni disponible en pièce détache chez decathlon...

Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de nous écrire au sujet de nos skis de skating 550. La glisse peut être liée à plusieurs facteurs, comme la construction du ski et le fartage. Concernant le ski lui-même, il est important de choisir le bon cambre pour que la glisse soit optimale: le cambre "hard" en taille 188 cm, que vous avez choisi correspond à une plage de poids comprise entre 75 et 90 kg par exemple.
Ensuite, nous vous conseillons de farter vos skis dès la première utilisation, soit par vous-même, soit dans l'atelier de votre magasin. Si vous décidez de le faire par vous-même, je vous suggère cette video:

A noter que si vous avez skié cette semaine en France, avec des conditions de neige très froide, aux alentours de -10°C, il est très compliqué d'obtenir une bonne glisse, malgré un fartage adapté. C'est la raison pour laquelle, dans ces conditions, on recommande souvent la pratique du style classique.
En espérant que ces conseils auront pu vous aider, je vous souhaite une très belle saison de ski de fond.

De très bons skis pour des sorties courtes et pour des skateurs occasionnels qui sont dans le loisir plus que dans la performance. Permet de bien démarrer le skating et de progresser. Les farter régulièrement.

(+) j’apprécie les différente possibilité rigidité possible (soft/medium/hard) selon le poids su skieur. (-) Après une seule sortie, je constate que le revêtement de l'un de mes skis est abimé à l’extrémité supérieure arrière. Il semble donc que le revêtement du ski soit trop fragile et 'marque' des que l'un des ski touche l'autre lors du patinage. Dommage...

très bon produit, belle qualité de glisse. ce sont mes premiers skis skates après avoir fait du classique pendant qques années. je m'en sers très régulièrement durant la saison.
Pratiquant plus généralement le ski de rando et le ski alpin, je pratique le ski de fond de manière plus occasionnelle. Et pourtant ce ski apporte un vrai plaisir et de bonnes sensations assez rapidement.

1 - choosing the right size
Choose ski size according to your weight and not its length.SKI SKATE 550:MEDIUM CAMBER- 100 to 120 lbs = 68.5”- 110 to 145 lbs = 71.3”- 130 to 165 lbs = 74”HARD CAMBER- 165 to 200 lbs = 74”- 200 to 240 lbs = 76”You must also take into account your level, a long ski optimizes slide and speed
2 - a sintered base, for superior slide
The base is the part of the ski that is in contact with snow, it is made from polyethylene (PEhd), the manufacturing process is either extrusion or sintering.The base of the ski 550 is in sintered PEhd, made from a plastic powder with high molecular weight, heated, compressed and cut into slabs.This process enables higher density of the sole and therefore better slide and resistance.
3 - xcelerator skate bindings, the technology that will increase your speed!
All of our skis are sold with Rottefella bindings that are compatible with the NNN, prolink and Turnamic standards.The 550 skis are fitted with Rottefella XCELERATOR PRO bindings.You can easily move the binding without tools to adapt it to your needs. It is adaptable thanks to the move system, enabling you to move the binding without unstrapping.
4 - waxing, the secret of durability!
After purchase, we recommend that you prepare the base of your skis for them to reach their optimal speed, several consecutive waxings to ”nourish” the base are recommended.To maintain the performance of your skis, don't forget to wax them regularly!To wax your skis, check out our tutorials on our Inovik YouTube channel or make an appointment in your Decathlon workshop.

Our skis are made with a ”sandwich” structure: layering different materials in the ski's core and throughout its full length.
