Lightweight and compact.

I doubt you’ll ever get a better compact sleeping bag than this one. It’s comfortable and compact. Does okay till 10-12 C’. The stitches seems pretty durable and so does the material. However, it doesn’t gives much cushioning. You’ll need the either use a plain surface or a mat under it.

Feel cold even at 18 degree Celsius, leave apart 15 - 10 Celsius temperature as mentioned by Decathlon. Quality of products is decreasing day by day at decathlon, Senior officials must step in to save reputation. Note - I know how to do layering and which sleeping mat, tent i should use. [everything was purchase from decathlon, so don't embrace yourself by telling me to use good mat or tent.

Doesn't suffice For Cold Weather In South india

The Sleeping Bag doesn't Suffice for cold weather in South India. Leave apart North India Cold weather. I was in Kadthal Forest in month of November and was shivering like anything in this Sleeping Bag even though I was in a tent and using a Sleeping Mattress. I think Decathlon products are too hyped. Other Brands Provide better Weather coverage for Sleeping Bags.

Hello Niharika

Thank you for taking out time to give your valuable feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product. This sleeping bag has been tested for 15 degree temperature and while camping there are multiple things that can cause the problem you faced, like the tent (If it protected the wind from coming inside), Was the mat a good one to insulate from ground temperature etc.

However If you feel the product was not useful for you, Kindly feel free to visit your nearest Decathlon store and get a refund. It would be great if you can write back as I would want to understand more to dig out the reason for this inconvenience and provide you a best possible solution.

Check the temperature ahead

I bought this sleeping bag for my university camping, the weather was 10-11 degrees, but still, I had to double my sleeping clothes at night, because of the cold. It might be me, who is always cold, but still, take notice of temperatures ahead. What I love is that sleeping bag becomes so small, it barely takes any place in my 55 litre backpack. Quite a lot of times I spilled water on my sleeping bag, but it didn’t get wet and I love the hood of it, so you can use the elastic to adjust the size of the hood to be warmer. The zipper is ok, it is both sided, but still tangling in the bag itself. The zipper has two zips, so you can unzip from bottom, or the top.

User temperature

On all of our sleeping bags, we display the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard NF ISO 23537 - 2017. The temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot in a relaxed pose (for a standard woman and in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to the latter.

What are the limit temperature of use?

Limit temperature: temperature at which the user huddled up in the sleeping bag is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither to cold nor too hot (defined for a standard man under normal conditions of use).

However, what you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not generate warmth but retains the warmth produced by the body. If you feel tired and cold and slip into a cold and damp sleeping bag, you are likely to feel cold, however good it is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to the cold (bulk, fatigue, etc.), their equipment (mattress that insulates from the cold, etc.), their clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and the weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

For greater comfort before sliding into your sleeping bag

Dress simply (just 1 layer of clothing is enough). Keep your head, hands and feet warm: hats, gloves, socks, hand or feet warmers, rubdown, etc. A bottle full of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as it will not open accidentally!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat). However you should do this without moving as this can cause drafts of cold air. Use a liner sheet, ideally made of silk, to optimize the warmth inside your sleeping bag.

"Generous" mummy shape: wide at the shoulders and more narrow at the feet to optimize thermal insulation (no heat loss) and compact size, while retaining some freedom of movement. Width at shoulder height 30.1" and at feet height 12.6" in size L. Ergonomic hood with drawstring. 2 side zippers with double sliders, lined with a flap (sausage-shaped) made of insulating wadding (thermal bridges) and side openings.

Weight and dimensions

Size M 1.4 lbs, user up to 5'7". Folded size: H 10.6", Ø 4.7". Volume 3 Liters. Size L 1.5 lbs, user between 5'7" and 6'1". Folded size: H 10.6", Ø 5.3". Volume 4 L. Size XL 1.6 lbs, user between 6'1" and 6'7". Folded size: H 10.6", Ø 5.7". Volume 5 L. Try your sleeping bag before buying it to choose the right size for your comfort.

This sleeping bag is guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of sale indicated on the receipt. The product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. Storage instructions

Easily store your bag by stuffing it in its bag, feet end first. To maintain its fill power, which is what provides the thermal insulation, remove the bag and store it flat in a dry place.
