If it gets soaked by water, it starts smelling and definitely not meant for water. Had worst experience with it. Will never trust this product. I blindly trusted because it was decathlon bu then they stooped low with such quality.

Not recommended for tracking on rocks or hills. Very slippery in rain. Overall good product on plains, roads. Muddy sand does enter the shoes.

I am sorry for the experience you have had with the shoes.These shoes are water shoes for occasional usage, to be worn on the beach or shore so as to prevent you from getting any cuts or bruises on your feet as you go to practice your water sports. As to your problem with the smell- sweat will cause this kind of an issue if used for long periods of time and not in the beach/clean water. Nevertheless, I invite you to any of our Decathlon stores across India to have the Aquashoes exchanged or refunded for a product that best suits your requirement and fulfills your need. The sole is very thin,(i guess the next version of same is available with laces and thick sole happened to check out recently when i visited the store) so you feel every stone/rock or rough surface whatever you are walking on and hence cant be use for trekking(the only reason i bought them).. they are light weight and easy to carry though and the dry up very quick which can be considered as bonus
Its comfortable, makes you feel confident , and works in almost every environment. One major complaint is that after shoes gets wet they smell really bad.

Bought these as a gift for a friend who goes rock fishing. They are really good while walking over rocks.
