Product Customer Reviews
This mask is really comfortable to wear and just doesn't steam up as previous masks have.
Bought these for our holiday and they are brilliant, I am not the most confident in the sea but this mask made it so much easier to snorkel, so now I can enjoy this with my husband
The fitting can be loose when there is facial motion and the suction effect when attempting to free dive as compare to traditional masks
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review.
I am very sorry that you didn't totally enjoy your Easybreath mask.
We have designed this full-face mask for beginner snorkelers so that they can breathe very naturally through the nose and the mouth and has to be used on the surface or during very shallow dives, around 1m deep.
It is not really meant to be used for freediving, and yes indeed if you keep breathing in while you are submerged you may feel a suction effect.
I hope the see you again in any of our stores. We will show you our specific freediving equipment to have a fantastic underwater experience.
Have a nice day.
Best Regards,
Fabrice

This is really great! I used this during my recent snorkelling trip. I am a non-swimmer so I decided to get this. If you wear spectacles, please do get additional lens designed for this mask. Lenses are sold separately but it is good because I do not have to worry about not being able to see clearly. Do remember to tighten it to avoid getting the water in the mask. I got the L size even though it is generally recommended for guys. Perfect size for me. If you are not sure of the size, best to try before buying.
Thank you very much for your review.
We really appreciate that you shared your experience and gave some tips to help other users to get the best of the SUBEA full-face snorkelling mask.
Yes indeed, this mask is meant to be used by everyone no matter the swimming skills and the optional optical lenses make it suitable for the many.
I am sure you will enjoy this mask during many other trips.
Hope to see you again in one of our stores.
Have a great day.
Best Regards,
Fabrice

excellent piece of gear that does exactly what's claimed. Clear views and easy breathing with very easy to use straps and a proper seal which so far hasn't let me down. Highly commend this.
Great product for using on holiday - will be including in my packing every time!! Really easy to use, even in choppy water.
Bought it for my sons they love it very easy to breathe around the pool .
Best item so far- gave me and my family a load of fun - this is our 4th mask
This is a fantastic mask great for beginners to or nervous snorkellers and also a good mask for competitive swimming training.
If you’re looking at buying one of these do not hesitate. I bought my two children one for holiday and decided to get myself one. initially I thought they were expensive but when you compare them to the cheap snorkel and mask sets you buy on holiday that leak the minute you put them on they’re far superior.

Used on holiday with my son..we had a lot of fun.
These are completely brilliant. I've never really liked snorkels (despite being a keen diver) nor found a pair of goggles that didn't fog after a few uses (despite being a regular swimmer), so this mask is a game-changer. Comfortable, great clarity of vision, no fogging, easy to clear, good seal from the silicone (even with a week's beard growth). I love them. I just spent a couple of weeks on a yacht with my family using these at every opportunity and seeing far more in the water from the surface than I ever have before. I actually salvaged a brand new high-end mask and snorkel (probably £100 of lost kit) out of 6m of water but gave it away as I would definitely use this in preference every time. Would give it six stars if I could.
Misjudged the sizes for my 9 & 12 year old daughters... ordered S/M & M/L.... had to change the M/L for XS for my nine year old and the S/M fits my 12 year old. Obviously this was my error and the exchange was carried out without quibble. Masks are excellent !

Why can't you dive deep with the easybreath mask?
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 40" deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterward. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
Why isn't the snorkel of the easybreath very long?
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
What size easybreath should i choose?
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes that cover 90% of faces. Children over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size when in the store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face: There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: https://www.subea.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreath-tp_1331
Why 2 sizes instead of 4?
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimization will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
Can i use the easybreath if i have a beard?
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
How does the exclusive anti-fogging concept work?
It works best in waters over 64°F and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. Moisture-laden air you exhale is evacuated through the silicone and plastic side connections that send the air out through the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
What precautions should i take with my easybreath mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
Can i repair my easybreath mask if it breaks?
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online: Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

What is the difference between freediving and snorkeling?
At Subea, the Decathlon diving brand, we decided on a simple way to define the difference between our freediving and snorkeling products: From the moment you hold your breath and swim under the surface of the water even a few yards, it is freediving. Conversely, if one stays on the surface, this is snorkeling.
What is the subea brand?
Tribord Diving is now called SUBEA, the Decathlon brand dedicated to underwater sports (snorkeling, scuba diving, spearfishing and free-diving). The markings on all our diving products will gradually be replaced. Why SUBEA? Because: "SUBaquatic Experiences are Amazing"! For more information: www.subea.com
