Good jacket, it keeps me warm, very lightweight. Wore it when it was 30-40 degrees F with just sport bras underneath it, and I still feel warm and comfortable. It’s my new favorite jack now.
I have a mountain w/h ghost whipser down jacket and I wanted another one but not at that price. I decided to give Decathalon a shot. The jacket has not disappointed me so far. I went snowshoeing with it in mid 30's degrees, cloudy conditions and only a base layer. So far i am satisfied with my purchase. It has kept me warm. If i repurchase I will most likely go back to Decathalon.

Great jacket but chexk sizes. I am 12 andordered a Large (as per size guide) and the large is really big and says 16-18 on label. will send back for a medium.
keeps you really warm and windproof. I use this for hiking and my soft shell over this jacket. Its very light weight and packable
Lively coat, fit perectly although had to size up 2 sizes. Warm and comfortable.
Lightweight but really warm and waterproof
I needed a larger size than I would normally wear. I find it to be idea for casual wear. Nice and lightweight.

Thermal insulation - warmth
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F during a standardized test in a thermal chamber.The model is wearing a synthetic long sleeve T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3 mph wind. In our heat comparison tool, it represents 2 stars.We have also tested this model in ”static” mode; the comfort temperature is 41°F in this case.
Technical information on the fill
We use 100% polyester fill (70% recycled) weighing 4.4 oz/m² in the body and 3.5 oz/m² in the sleeves and hood.The fill is made from silicone-coated spiral fibers that make it highly compressible and highly durable.Despite its low thickness, the air trapped inside provides high insulation properties while allowing it to remain lightweight.It retains its warmth even when wet.

Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents your padded jacket from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface; however, this property may deteriorate with use.

Product testing
In November 2017, 6 backpackers (4 men and 2 women) with part of the Forclaz design team tested this padded jacket for 4 days in the Southern French Alps.We were then able to make the final modifications and validate it for use for backpacking.
