Useful jacket for exceptional price. Not as fitted as appears in photo, but comfortable and warm.
Very comfortable and warm with affordable price.
Bought it for fall weather and for short hikes. I like how nice it packs up for when I get hot, and I like the fit. Not too bulky but not thin. I haven't tested in really cold conditions yet. The average I've gone out with it is 10c and it's been great.

Purchased this form-fitting hiking jacket foe underneath my winter ski jacket (purchased elsewhere). It looks & fits great underneath! On warmer days it’ll be great for my hikes in the mountains or just for city outings.

Lovely lightweight jacket
This is an excellent jacket light weight, warm and waterproof!
Love Decathlon padded jackets - I now have 3 in various styles and colours - and this one didn’t disappoint. I am generally a size 14 and deliberated over which size to send for in this one as I could see it had a slightly fitted waist. Having read the feedback, most ladies had said the fitting was ‘as expected’ so I went for size L and crossed my fingers! Communication from Decathlon was excellent, and delivery was organised and swift. The jacket is lovely, well made as always, and very smart. The colour is a little darker blue than I thought, but still very nice especially with its grey lining, and the size L is perfect for me. The coat is very lightweight and comfortable to wear, and perfect for spring temperatures. It has two nice deep outer pockets, but none inside ( I would have preferred a zipped one to hold a phone). All in all, this is a great value handy jacket for cool days, and I’m very happy with it.

In case of rain
The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. This means that drops of water roll off the fabric preventing them from soaking into the padded jacket as quickly, giving you time to find some shelter. But the padded jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the padded jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
The benefits of synthetic wadding
Wadding is an effective alternative to feathers:- it has good thermal insulation, even when wet- it provides some breathability and is recommended for intense activities (feathers are recommended for static activities)- it is easy to maintain: machine wash at 30°C and tumble dry
Valuable advice for improving the durability of your down jacket!
In general, do not wash a down jacket too frequently because each wash decreases the thermal properties.
Product testing
All our padded jackets have been laboratory tested on thermal mannequins in 5 km/h winds, reproducing a hike with moderate exertion. This test shows you the range of temperatures in which you will be protected from the cold in this padded jacket.
