Product Customer Reviews

price is good for beginner boots. But would prefer a bit stiffer for general use.
Hello Carbon I am sorry to read that you are not satisfied with the stiffness of the boot. This product has been specifically designed for beginners to discover snowboarding. For general use and a better level snowboarding you should aim for our 500 boots (Allroad or Endzone).
If you feel like you have had the wrong advice when buying the boots feel free to bring it back to your nearest Decathlon shop to change it for a 500 boots.
Have a great end of season.

These boots were far too loose to be wearing snowboarding. Even when I tightened them as much as they would go, I could still slide my foot out of the boot. This would not be safe at all!
Hello Nikita I am sorry to hear that the sizing of the boots was not correct for you. From the description you are giving you may have chosen a size too big for you. Could you please send me by email (yohann.kelkel@decathlon.com) the length of you feet in inches as well as the boots size you have so I can help you know what is the correct size for you ? Could you also give me your snowboard level ?
These boots were developed for riders who discover snowboarding. Riders who will ride at low speed therefore looking for forgiveness rather that precision. If you have a better snowboard level you should not ride these boots.
Anyway from the description you are giving you can bring the boots back to the nearest Decathlon shop to change it for another model with more support or the correct size for you.
I hope I helped please let me know if you need more help by email. Have a great season.

My grandson was very happy with his snowboarding boots. They arrived when I was told.thanks
Used these for a week boarding. It was my third week total, and I'd had enough of uncomfy hire boots. These worked perfectly, stayed tight, and allowed me to continue tp progress. I would definitely recommend them.
Good for beginners but feels loose in the powder. Even after strapping it tight , it will have some space and your foot will slide.
Hello O, thank you for your feedback , this boots has indeed been designed for beginners for which we prioritized comfort and forgiveness while learning how to turn (this boot has a low rigidity 3 out of 10). That is why we do not recommend at all to use them for freeriding or any snowboarding style needing a high rigidity and support.
I guess you have not had this info while choosing your boots, I would recommend that you proceed woith an exchange of the product in your nearest Decathlon Shop.
Have a great winter

Super cena,super boty

A word from the product manager
"We designed this boot to offer you a good compromise between comfort and easy tightening. The improvements since the 2017-2018 season are: - quick tightening focused on the instep for better support and a rip-tab added at the shin to eliminate the gap between the shin and the tongue; - wider fit to ensure good support and comfort for everyone; - very lightweight, shock-absorbent and insulating EVA sole (80% air) that protects from cold coming up from the ground.
Fast lock 2-zone tightening system
The easy tightening of this boot comes from a remark by a snowboard instructor: "we need to do away with traditional laces that have to be tied, as I waste too much time at the beginning of my lessons tightening my clients' laces" 1. Quick and powerful tightening concentrated at the instep to support the foot. 2. A rip-tab on the tibia to eliminate the gap between the tibia and the tongue.
Boot flex/stiffness
Supple flex is something we strive to achieve. It is comfortable to use, reduces physical fatigue, and allows you to fully enjoy your day on the snow. It also has the advantage of helping the beginner to adopt the right position on the board: ankles bent to avoid having stiff legs. You have to react quickly when you're snowboarding, so it's important to bend the knees. Starting with a boot that’s too stiff is a bad thing.
Heel support: level 1 liner (/3)
Foot support is essential when snowboarding, to be able to correctly steer your board (foot in the liner, and liner in the boot). The level 1 liner applies 4 concepts: 1. liner that can be thermoformed at home 2. "Comfort Heel Pad" foam ankle pads 3. "3-point" liner tightening 4. "Hook and Loop Link" between the liner and boot
1. thermoforming the liner by yourself / warning
THERMOFORMING IS ONLY POSSIBLE IN BUILT-IN OVENS MEASURING 22" x 23.6" x 22" (56 x 60 x 56 cm) WITH A FAN MODE. DO NOT TRY ON A GAS OVEN OR A SMALL TABLE TOP OVEN WITH VISIBLE HEATING ELEMENTS.
1. thermoforming the liner by yourself / instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175°F on fan mode 2. Remove the inner soles of the liners, and place the liners on the oven plate with some greaseproof baking paper 3. Wait 15 min 4. Put the hygiene insoles back, put on a pair of ski/snowboard socks, put the liners on your feet, and tighten them fully. 5. Put on the boots on and tighten fully 5. Wait 15 minutes, standing still This operation can be repeated. ONLY IN A BUILT-IN OVEN 22" x 23.6" x 22" (56 x 60 x 56 cm)
2. "heel pad comfort" malleolus foam
Ankle foams fill the anatomical hollow under and behind the ankle to wedge the heel in place. The level 1 liner has ankle foams 10 mm thick, mono-material, fairly soft. The aim is to offer support to the heel-foot to match the level of the boot. In fact, the faster you go, the more energy you bring into play, and the more support you need for your foot. Comfort Foam meets this objective by providing maximum comfort for all.
3. "3-point" liner tightening
3-point tightening (instead of 4 points) brings 2 real benefits: - support: it supports the heel very nicely because there is less friction from the laces and maximum effort is transmitted to the 3rd and final tightening point located at the ankle for maximum support - warmth: not having a 4th tightening point at the instep helps with blood circulation to the toes. This keeps the toes warm.
4. "hook and loop link" between the liner and boot
We've added a rip-tab at the back between the liner and the boot. The aim? To stop the liner from slipping inside the boot to help you better control your board, because it’s not enough just to hold your foot in the liner: if the liner moves in the boot, you’ll be less able to control your board properly.
Insole
The insole of this boot is flat. It offers comfort and thermal insulation. If you feel you need to support your foot more securely in the liner, you have 2 options: - get a sole pre-formed at the arch and heel area - get a sole that can be thermoformed to suit your foot. This is the most efficient solution.
Sole: grip, traction, cushioning, and thermal insulation
Our Ultralight sole is 100% EVA. EVA is a very light material with 80% air. This formulation is designed to resist abrasion while keeping its damping properties. It is naturally very insulating and protects against the cold rising from the ground. We designed in large studs to offer you very good grip. Sufficiently far apart from each other, they help get rid of the snow.
How can i be sure it's the right size?
1. Put the boot on 2. Tighten the boot 3. Stand upright 4. Your big toes should just touch the tip of the boot without causing unpleasant pressure 5. Bend your legs forward, your big toes move backward and no longer touch the end of the boot.
